I don't care for Diablo, Shadowlands expansion looks like garbage. The first expansion I won't buy or play.
Shadowlands looks like the type of thing that could have been good if blizz had not already turned the entire storyline into nonsense and filled the game with a bunch of ridiculous allied races etc. Also the opening of the shadowlands by breaking the lich king's crown makes absolutely no sense to me. It also ruins the bit of hope I was holding out for a resurgence if the scourge. O well I guess retail is on track to be permanently dead to me.

For some reason I dont know wit I really dont like the artwork/horror genre blizz is heading with diablo.
Feels kinda fake, and just doesnt inspire to participate in.
D3 is a pretty good game now. Many probably left after reaching max level and hitting the brick wall, remembering a dumpster fire. But RoS D3 is a completely different game.
Level 60 Cap. Starting at level 10 if you roll a DK..I'm so down for SL. Plus 4 of the 5 zones look BEAUT.
I'll play Retail again once it releases.
Diablo 4 looks insane to me. a Shared-World seems pretty sick. Skill trees look dope and Druids look amazing. Not entirely sold..but pretty close.
Yeah I've not seen many games make such a dramatic turnaround as D3 did. It was pretty bad when it was first released, but the expansion made it a completely different game. It was great after they made all the changes.
imo both Shadowlands and Diablo 4 look pretty solid. Diablo 4 more than Shadowlands though, as the first appears to be more or less an upgraded Diablo 3 (which is great), while Shadowlands may have some promising aspects, but doesnt seem to address the underlying problems retail has in general.
hmmmm Diablo 4...i hope they take the time and developed for like 4-5 years...this would be huge!

I'm feeling pretty lukewarm about Shadowlands currently. It's got beautiful art and the covenant thing seems cool, but what about classes? They're bringing back a bunch of pruned spells, but tacking those back on to BFA classes isn't going to magically make them fun again.
I remain skeptical.
I remain skeptical on all content released by blizzard since WotLK. I missed out on raiding in Wrath, but I could tell by the end of the expansion that they were implementing a lot of features I wasn't enjoying.
Diablo 3, even after it's redemption, it's still a shadow of Diablo 2's glory. I'm not holding my breath on D4, but I am a sucker for Diablo 2, so I'm hoping it captures that same 'feel'.

Shadowlands looks incredible lazy and cheap too me, just look up Lineage II later chapters and compare it to SL features trailer: China did took over retail. Might not even be bad, but it's uninspired and focus way too much on style from what I saw.
Diablo 4 looks very promising, but I really lost faith into Blizzards games except the remasters obviously. But I really like the art style of D4, reminds me of Disciples. Also China influence: bones are bad, pentacles and crosses are back in the menu!
I might really sound chinaphobe in this post, but that's just because I don't like the way they use to make games. Nothing against the country or something...
Shadowlands checks some boxes as far as my major retail gripes go but not enough to make me even consider switching back. At most I will play through to see the story and major events etc, but I'm still firmly planted in Classic.
D4 looks great. I haven't seen much that makes me concerned about it yet. The complex talent trees and darker thematics are MAJOR boons to me.

Every time I log in and see Pandas and Worgen flying around on increasingly ridiculous mounts it just feels sort of, I dunno, shit.
This sums it up perfectly. Every time I get a wild hair and try to give retail a shot, I'm just repulsed by the absolute absurdity of everything in my surroundings as soon as I log in.
That and the changes to various classes' playstyles over the years is just a complete turn off.

I actually pondered if I should start designing one, but I have zero time on my hands and also not much database/forum building knowledge. Plus @teebling seems to have a knack for things when it comes to "old school look but good usability"
Despite the game being years away, and possible itemization issues (+atk +def on every item with green up arrows and red down arrows is... bleh), we could turn that place into a great website. I'll be user #2!
Of course I wonder how you think about forums after experiencing barrens.chat Teebling? I think it's fair to say that barrens.chat was at its peak just before Classic release and maybe things are a bit slower these days. I don't think Classic hype has died down (perhaps slowed a bit), but people are just busy playing instead of participating on the forums. Thoughts on how this would be for a possible D4 tristram.chat?

I played mainly single player on hardcore (anyone who don't play HC are not a true diablo player) on players 8 at all times.
Some ladder resets I played on B.net but mostly single player
