I asked her to elaborate a bit and she said ‘like an eye with two lightning bolts coming out of the bottom’.

She showed me some similar designs from google images and immediately it struck me that it was pretty similar to:



The tat got done a few days ago but its still healing. I’m seeing her in two weeks.... not seen a pic yet....

Has my gf accidentally just tatooed Arcane Intellect on herself? I will be pissing myself laughing if that’s the case.

Standby guys, saw her last night we went to see Cirque du Soleil (it was MENTAL). Not had a chance to see the tat yet.

Whether she's into World of Warcraft or not, Arcane Intellect icon makes a rather cool looking tattoo nonetheless.

I just hope for her sake that the went to a serious tattoo studio and paid a fair price. Stuff is permanent!

I'd say it was like a 6/10 for Arcane Intellect.

Looks really nice and well made. Not too nerdy either.

Makes me remember back when Wrath of the Lich King came out. Was at a midnight release at Gamestop, and it was just insanely crowded with people waiting for the game. People in costumes, riding cardboard kodo's and whatnot. At that time, the girl who was maybe 3 spots ahead of me in line had a horde tattoo on her right arm and an alliance one on her left. Sure thought that was awesome (though what's up with sporting that alliance filth..!)
On-topic, that does indeed look around 6/10 arcane intellect. Pretty nice mate. Have you thought about getting one to match with her? Say, a mark of the wild lookalike.

That's rad! I have a Horde symbol tattooed on my ring finger. It's very small (1 inch tall, tops), but a lot of people will just blurt out "For the Horde" when they see it!

Thats actually a pretty good tattoo. (I'm about about to get a new one tomorrow actually) But props to here, it looks great! Look's like a realistic arcane intellect.

Here's what the Kirin Tor logo looks like

Arcane Intellect's icon is similar, but in the lore I don't think they've ever explained what was with the eye and lines

But the icon for Arcane Intellect actually came from Magic Sentry in Warcraft 3, which was a passive ability that revealed all nearby invisible units. It was used in the upgraded human towers, and during some campaign levels. So that explains the eye, the 2 lightning could just be because magic and an artist had fun with the icon. So they reused that asset for WoW; Arcane Intellect was probably the only place they could put it that made sense.
