Greetings fellow Barrens.chat dwellers! I have been working on a little side project to make a intro video for our community and make it available to everyone!

Now, you can download the file directly from here, which will be through a mediafire link or use a YouTube Converter, whichever you feel comfortable with.

Thanks for the feedback! As I mentioned before, I'll be revising this intro and creating new ones. Just going to take some time.

I wish there was just a little more time to play out the final notes of the sound clip. Like an extra half second or so, seems like the final trumpets are cut off a bit.

Couldn't think of better theme music to go along with your clip though. The orcs in the background at the beginning are the first sounds I hear when I think of the Barrens.

Updated! 2 New variations of the original Intro!

I'd use the more ambient part of the barrens music instead of the orc chants, as Barrens.chat isn't horde exclusive.

Something along the lines of (timestamped):

1st. Sorry you think it's unnecessary.
2nd. Too much hype makes people do weird things?...it's an Intro video...not a XXX Source Film Maker hentai video featuring world of warcraft toons.
3rd. This can be used in several places. Not just YouTube. It can also be used for Tutorials/guides, spreading the name of Barrens.Chat even further and possibly a watermark for someone streaming or making content who loves barrens chat.

I still fail to understand why anyone except the owner of barrens.chat would put this thing in their videos.

Anyway, a hentai video featuring wow characters would make more sense and would be a funny thing.

This is really cool @Knoxtane especially for guide writers wishing to support their guides with supportive videos; I have no graphical talent myself so stuff like intros, banners and all that is fairly beyond my means!

If I ever return to Youtube, it will be for vanilla guides (on spanish). And I'll definitely use this intro featuring the forum. Not unnecessary imho.

After about an hour or so of work I created something that I find more "in tone" with the website.

And I guessed it made more sense to share it here for everyone to see ! Feel free to use it !

I think you got it perfect. Great timing of the orc chant at the end, the colors of the background, everything just fits.

These are perfect. Great updates.

All of these are great. My only thing is some of them, the word "chat" seems super tiny. But these are all phenomenal. Great work!

I could do a quick tutorial if the demand arise from many. But it really isn't that hard :

- I'm using Premiere Pro
- Pick a background image, apply color filters on it to make it more vibrant, add some bloom and post-treatment effects, put some timing keys that will control the movement from right to left, the timing of blur... and finally use a fade in and out transition
- Use the same kind of treatment for the logo (plus some additional effects for that "moving lighting" on the word "Barrens")
- Add some music, pay attention to timing, add sound transitions so it's not a sharp cut.
- Finally add some vignette to the corner for extra points of looks.

Really not that hard, it only took me an hour but I'm kinda used to it since I've been using and fooling around with Premiere for almost a decade now.
