Is it possible for an Orc to travel by foot to Mulgore (Tauren) starter zone (Camp Narache) and quest from level 1, or do I have to be 5-6 and wait for Bloodhoof Village? Or maybe not even that is possible?
Let's say I play a Orc Shaman (Shaman is a class that Tauren can choose).
Thanks!

Yeah, you can do it. You'll probably die a bunch of times along the way, but you can absolutely corpse hope your way across the barrens if you need to. And you can pick up all the Tauren starting quests once you get there, too.
Biggest issue could be lack of class trainers. An example is rogues... since the Tauren don't have any rogues, there aren't any rogue trainers in all of Mulgore. But if you roll Shaman that won't be a problem.

Yeah, like Pippina has already said, it's doable, you just have to realize it might take a bit of time to get over there.
I really prefer Mulgore starting area over Durotar so I think you're making the right choice as long you don't choose rogue or warlock.

Yeah I think I'm going the backway out from Orc starting area (through the mountains), dying on purpose and spirit ress in Booty Bay. Take Flightpath, run to Xroads and take Flightpath and continue to Mulgore. I'm not in a hurry and Mulgore gives me nostalgia so it will be worth it.Pippina wrote: ↑5 years agoYeah, you can do it. Mulgore is just a nicer place to be in general. If you're going to be stuck inside playing on a computer you might as well pretend you're outside surrounded by grass, trees, and fresh air

But what about for instance the Shaman quests, likeTotem quests. Would that work or would I only be able to do it in Valley of Trials?

As far as I know, you'll be able to complete your class quests at any factions class trainer. I don't see why you'd have to go back to the Orcs trainer.

You can see here what quests that take place in Mulgore are restricted to Tauren only.
At a glance that appears to be Thunderhorn Totem, Wildmane Totem, and Poison Water.
The Class Quest for the totem, https://classic.wowhead.com/quest=1519/call-of-earth, does not have a Tauren tag on it and therefore appears that you will be able to complete it just fine.
Hi,
i tried it on a Private Server. Orc Shaman -> Run Mulgore.
With lvl 5/6 no Earth Totem Quest for Orc available.
With lvl 10 Thunderbluff Fire Totem Quest for Orc available.
With lvl 10 Thunderbluff still no Earth Totem Quest.
Just run to orgrimmar from your starting area or better yet do your starting area quests then run to Orgimmar and take the sky tram or whatever it's called to thunderbluff and run to the starting area from there. Not that hard but it helps to do your own starting quests first. I typically run two starting areas with a toon.

TB > ORG zep was added in WotLK? I have either been missing something HUGE for years, or there is no travel between org and TB otherthan Flight master and running.

leveling you own starter zone will probably be faster 1-5 than running to tauren start zone and leveling 1-5. On ally, it is pretty common for NE to do 1-5 or 1-10 start zone, then run to stormwind and join the human track

Yeah, the zeeppelin network only connects Org, Undercity, and STVietnam.

My goal here is not to be fast by no means. It's to enjoy Mulgore because it is the most beautiful starter zone and best optimized.
I will level as an Elemental/Resto hybrid with these talents: https://classicdb.ch/?talent#hE0uVcMqZZV0ek0xo
While leveling I will do dungeons, Fishing, Class quests and Professions. I'm in no rush hitting 60.

You can totally go to a different starting zone, nothing bad about that. The problem would be getting ganked by npc's higher than your level on the way there but if you like that specific starting zone then go for it. It would be more economical to stay in your starting zone depending on how many players there are and how far away the starting zone is. People mainly do this because their friends play different races and they want to play with them.

No original unarmored epic mounts

I would just have to run from Ratchet into Xroads then continue to Mulgore. No Alliance there or Alliance NPCs. Some lvl 13-16 mobs but if I stay on the road I might make it.Altoholic wrote: ↑5 years agoYou can totally go to a different starting zone, nothing bad about that. Yeah the run through the barrens isn't too bad. You'll probably die a couple of times, but if you stick to the road you'll be mostly safe. Besides, if you die close enough to the Taurajo graveyard you can just spirit rez and basically get there faster anyway. Remember in the lower levels (I think up to level 10), there is no rez sickness so you can just graveyard hop to move around faster in certain areas.

Yes you definitely can/ Should you? Probably not. But hey, I remember whenever I saw a different race leveling in my starter zone, I would think one of two things: "Hey, that's pretty cool." Or, "Stop tagging my mobs you filthy undead and go back to your own starter!"

I feel like running from Elwyn to Shadowglen for some nice Darnassian reputation for that sweet, sweet saber cat. Will I do it? Probably not, but it's probably not the worst idea considering Elwyn's going to be packed.

Blizzard fixed the dynamic respawn timers that were broken during the beta and stress tests. Goes for both mobs and resources. Elwyn could be completely packed yet completely manageable.

It is recommended that you do your race-specific "go visit your class trainer" quest first, and then hop over to whatever starting zone you have in mind.
