So this time around i am going to play a Warrior in classic since well i have been a warlock for almost 15 years, my question is: what is the best race for warrior in vanilla? I want to main tank as well as dps just for fun then i will pvp, thank you in advance for the suggestions

Would say Tauren if your preference list 1. Tank 2. DPS 3. PvP. Otherwise Orc.

That's the current mainstream opinion I believe. My personal preferences are Orc and Undead however, despite the current Leeway discussions from the Classic Beta.

The Race & Class comparison tool by our supreme leader Teebling is great for this kind of thing.
My two cents: Tauren warriors are going to have gnarly long range this time around. It might give you an edge in combat, although I'm pretty sure people are making it seem worse than it is.

If you're not too interested in pvp it doesn't change much whether you go orc or tauren. If you do want to do PvP I'd say go orc for the stun resist racial.

There isn't really a huge difference between the races so I'd say go for the one that you like the look of. Personally I think tauren warriors look better
