Yo guys,
Can anybody who has access to the beta confirm or deny any of these two mechanics:
1) If you are mounted and you have a pet out, does your pet run so slowly it will eventually despawn?
2) If your pet dies in a BG, and you die subsequently, do you need to resummon your pet?
These were both mechanics back in retail vanilla and BC, when I mained a Warlock. I'm looking to return to the class but these two mechanics drove me nuts. Especially the pet despawning while mounted seriously pissed me off. Every world PvP fight with capable players I would be doomed because I would have no pet, try fighting a Warrior or a Rogue without a Voidwalker >_>. If that mechanic is returning to Classic I won't roll Warlock. It was such a BS mechanic that World of Roguecraft 2 actually featured it ( and www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzdT9_9JXM0&t=8m36s). Sad thing is, it really was a thing back then so #nochanges would require this mechanic to be implemented.
Has anybody found out anything about any of these two mechanics?
Thanks in advance!

1.8+ (because in Roguecraft 1 the Rogue is crying about the AP normalization which occurred in 1.8 :p).ShamelessEU wrote: ↑5 years ago"Pet speed has been increased when out of combat and following their master. "

The problem isn't pet despawning when mounted per se (that didn't happen when I played back in the day). Problem is when mounted and travelling the world you take aggro from random mobs all the time. In combat pets lose that added movement speed referred to in the patch 1.5 logs and would despawn. When farming anything in any high level zone that happens all the time. My question is, does it work exactly as in the patch 1.5 description on the current beta?

Good question! Remains to be seen! I have asked people in the warlock discord to check itmorbidmike wrote: ↑5 years ago1.8+ (because in Roguecraft 1 the Rogue is crying about the AP normalization which occurred in 1.8 :p).ShamelessEU wrote: ↑5 years ago"Pet speed has been increased when out of combat and following their master.
