This is a question I've always ask myself. Are we going to see Blizz GMs doing funny things in-game?
- Like the ones that if you are confused about the location of something, a gm teleports to you and show you where the item is.
- Or the ones that randomly teleports to you, transform you in a hogger and then vanish
- OR the ones who tell old dad jokes to your party and then leave you with a bunch of enemies!
Come on Blizzard, it's cool.

I think GMs were definitely encouraged to 'roleplay' a bit when they interacted with players, which was kind of cool.
Take that guy who glitched to GM Island all those years ago. Dude was straight up taken into a Matrix-esque interrogation room and examined by GMs like aliens or something
They could have easily just slapped him on the back of the hand and teleported him away instantly but they took the time to make that interaction legendary. That kind of creativity is something I'd love to see again.
Also nice portfolio @MystAnorak I checked out your page. Been playing around a bit with MagicaVoxel and AseSprite myself - got a very old tumblr account with my old pixel art over here if you want to see: https://www.teebling.tumblr.com

Lmao. I like to see these kind of things, but I don't recommend since it's bannable.
I saw that you made this whole website! That's incredible! Also, thank you, I've been working mainly with 3DS Max (for props/environment) and Substance (textures) nowadays, I like to train myself for making hand-textures. It's like a dream to work at Blizzard Headquarters for WoW or any other game. But I need to learn so much more before applying for an internship.teebling wrote: ↑5 years agoAlso nice portfolio @MystAnorak I checked out your page. With a potential gigantic player count per server and the likelihood of less GM's per player, they won't have as much time as they used to. So no, I don't think that GM's will spend as much time with individual players as they used to. We will have to see if they introduce right-click reporting etc, but the GM system we receive will likely be a lot more automated than it was during retail vanilla.

I got to duel a naked GM once. He slowly backpeddaled into stealth, then like 10 rains of fire around me but they did no damaged. Then he came back from the shadows and said "Kneel" and I started casting shadow bolt and he just insta one shot me and so my character auto kneeled. He laughed and teleported away.

Back in 2005/06 I was a big fan of Exploration - I also done many journeys to different areas in Classic.
One of the journey was to the GM Island - I wonder that nobody tried it for now in the Beta, but in the 1.12 it should be still possible to do this.
When I was at the GM Island, I was chatting to some friends to tell them about my achievement. Suddenly 2 GMs came out of nothing and started chatting to me. And asked me stuff how did you come here, what do you do here.
They also snared me :D
After a few minutes of chatting, they ported me to Wintersping to the Elites and I died :D
Also, one time a Grandmaster appeared in our Raid cause we used the .mpq Exploit for AQ40, we all got banned :D (was a weekly ban or something like that)
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!

It's not gonna happen anymore. GMs are not even connecting to the game anymore. Everything is done from the Atlas console.

It'd be pretty cool if they did, but for some reason I'm thinking it won't happen. Maybe they'll do something like one time for nostalgia, but I don't see it being anything like it used to be / supposedly was.

I like how frivolous they have been during stress tests, but I doubt that is indicative of how they will act on launch.
