Why I think there's news coming
I really think this week we will have some REALY BIG info about Classic. Many content creators are hinting everywhere something will happend in next few days.
Beta: sometime during the week of May 20th (level 30 cap with southshore vs tarrenmill wpvp)
Release Date: sometime in august
I still think July, but I guess it depends on the timing and length of a beta.

I am also counting on getting news this week.. It is getting tiresome practicing on private servers + still not a 100% sure what class I will pick, a release date will force me into picking one fast

Class: Warrior, my favorite class.. Love tanking in dungeons. Want to try tanking raids. Want to learn to PVP better.
Race: Male Orc, never gotten an orc to level 60. Love the look and lore of the orcs!
Professions: Mining & Engineering, never did max out Engineering on a character. Love to try out playing with the different trinkets and use grenades to better aoe-tank!
Who knows what kind of news will come, in any case they will start to advertise and draw people's attention to the game. The real veterans have been waiting for years anyway, only for Blizzard it is important to generate a lot of NEW players.

I am horrible at picking a class... At least I have narrowed it down to a couple of classes, then depending on what my guild rolls the least of I will chose that.. Hunter? Mage? Priest? Paladin? I must play something that can farm gold

Well each class can farm gold, just in different ways! I will focus on farming mobs when I am spec:ed Arms for pvp. Then when I spec protection; I will use my tanking skills to farm gold (for example; joining dungeon runs and ask to get all loot no body needs, they only roll need or pass, I roll need or greedShamelessEU wrote: ↑7 years agoI am horrible at picking a class... ).You can also use professions to get gold, together with playing the action house!
Have no desire to play the auction house, it is simply not "fun" for me. Can however see myself farming nodes of either herbalism or mining when I am out questing or rep farming aswell.. But mostly my farming will be done in dungeons, fishing for drops :)

These guys have incentives for hyping viewers up. More clicks, its the new form of clickbating, you're getting played for $$$
Hoping for both release date and beta, but they could give us another shitty blue post and I would still be happy. I am loving all the hype, build-up, and tinfoil hattery.
I dont think being cynical about all of this being nothing but a fabricated hype to generate viewers is a reasonable approach.
I still however see a very real possibility of this turning out to be quite disappointing. So I keep my expectations low.
Personally I don't see us getting a Beta, internal testing is enough for a game that's already been out yet has new framework, and betas can be known for ruining hype.

I know July 16th is the meme that's circulating, but what is its origin?
Honest I had a July launch in my brain since the day I thought about when they would launch it, I'm not 100% on the original number but I do think it was the 16th, or 14th.
But now I'm conflicted on which because of that meme and the 14th being my mothers birthday D:
