So if I'm getting this right, Forever is set after WC3 and before Molten Core, and is set to cover the untold stories of this time.

This makes me wonder if they'll play it safe and try to maintain continuity between Classic/Forever/Retail or if we'll get a multiverse alternate timeline sort of deal? Or am I misunderstanding the reveal?

Alternative timelines and time travel have been a hot topic in a lot of recent media! And I mean movies, video games, even anime. In a way, I do think they will take the safe route. But we've never heard of the Skyborne in modern WoW times, and Azeroth has been through a lot of events that would have inevitably triggered some sort of reaction from them.

Since there was none, we could assume that this is some sort of alternative timeline. But I am possibly thinking too far ahead and I should leave my tin foil hat aside :)

This is the perfect time for tinfoiling so that years down the road we can go - hah, I called it!

That in mind, anyone else think the skyborne look suspiciously like the owl angel dudes from Shadowlands? There might be something there.

I’m beyond excited to see where they go with the new timeline!! The possibilities are endless!
