First Aid is one of the three secondary professions available to all players in WoW. For players who don’t have healing spells or who aren’t also undertaking Alchemy as a profession, the bandages, like Heavy Netherweave Bandage, created by First Aid are among the best ways to heal yourself in battle or while out in the world without food.
Overall, due to the fairly low number of materials necessary to power level it, First Aid is a worthwhile skill for everyone to have capped.
Training First Aid Vanilla To train Apprentice and Journeyman First Aid, all you need to do is find a trainer in any major city. They should be able to train you up to Expert.
From there, you’ll need to find a vendor who will sell you Expert First Aid – Under Wraps. For the Alliance this is Deneb Walker at Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands, and Balai Lok’Wein at Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh will do the same for the Horde. They also sell the recipes for the bandages necessary to continue leveling.
To reach Artisan, you’ll have to complete a profession specific quest. The chain will start with either Alliance Trauma from Nissa Firestone in Ironforge or Horde Trauma from Arnok in Orgrimmar. From there, Alliance players will report to Doctor Gustav VanHowzen at Theramore Isle in Dustwallow Marsh, and the Horde must find Doctor Gregory Victor at Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands.
Once at their respective doctors, both factions will complete the same tasks in the Triage quest. After it starts, 3 types of patient will spawn: Injured, Badly Injured, and Critically Injured. To complete the quest quickly and successfully, first focus your attention on the Critically Injured patients. Then, begin working on the Badly Injured ones, and finally, you’ll need to handle the normally Injured group. The goal of the quest is to save 15 patients before 6 die, and it is okay for some of them to die. It will happen. But, if you follow the order of Critically Injured -> Badly Injured -> Injured, it should increase your chances of completing the quest on your first attempt. TBC After you cross into Outlands, you’ll need to purchase another guide — Master First Aid – Doctor in the House — to train up to Master. It’s sold to each faction by specific Medics in Hellfire Peninsula. The Horde will purchase their copies from Arsella at Falcon Watch, and the Alliance can buy from Burko at the Temple of Telhamat. These medics will also sell your next set of bandage recipes, so make sure to pick those up as well!
