A Quick Note About Stats

• 1 Agility = 2 Armor, 0.04% Dodge, 0.04% Critical Strike Rating (Melee)

• Waist: Crimson Girdle of the Indomitable or Girdle of Valorous Deeds (Crimson Girdle of the Indomitable provides an additional 0.50% block chance over Girdle of Valorous Deeds)

  • (Justicar Legguards DOES have the highest passive mitigation, surpassing Wrynn Dynasty Greaves by 0.06% and Timewarden's Leggings by 1.61%, but those two pairs of leggings offer 3 gem sockets each, allowing for increased mitigation, if necessary)

  • Bloodmaw Magus-Blade is optimal in comparison to these options, but you may find competition with Mages and Warlocks

Phase 2 BiS Armor Note: It is very easy for Protection Paladins to reach high levels of block chance with gear available in Phase 2, so you may wish to mix-and-match some alternative choices to increase your other defensive stats.

  • Faceguard of Determination isn’t necessarily needed anymore for its increased mitigation since we will reach 102.4% fairly easily in this Phase
• Neck: The Darkener's Grasp
• Shoulders: Justicar Shoulderguards
• Cloak: Phoenix-Wing Cloak
• Chest: Justicar Chestguard
• Wrist: Wristguards of Determination
• Hands: Crystalforge Handguards
• Waist: Crimson Girdle of the Indomitable or Girdle of the Invulnerable
• Legs: Crystalforge Legguards
• Feet: Boots of the Resilient
• Ring: Seventh Ring of the Tirisfalen
• Ring: Ring of Sundered Souls

  • If you have sufficient avoidance without the use of either of these two trinkets, I would recommend aiming for Icon of the Silver Crescent to increase your potential threat generation
