For me personally, I'd very much like to read all my quests and absorb as much of the story as I can. I also want to keep up with my professions as I go too... which I always fail at!

I'm with you. At least, I'm going to try to take my time and absorb all the glory of Classic.

Yeah definitely going to read every quest. It's nice that questing and stories are no longer just a stepping stone to get to the latest expansion level/content that you feel your missing out on the end game "fun" if you linger too long.

I plan to take my time, read the quests (since it'll be my first time playing Alliance), level professions, and engage in World PvP. I also plan on running every dungeon at least once on the way to 60.

Oh wow! The Alliance starting zones are great! Especially Elynn Forrest->Westfall->Red Ridge Mountains! The Dun Morough stuff and Teldrasill is great too! Very immersive!

I won't rush it, there's really no reason to for me, but I'm not going to stop and read every quest either since I already know the contents of basically every one of them on the Horde side. I'll just take it at a pace I'm comfortable with and be open to spontaneous change in plans, hopefully do a few things with friends along the way, and from the mid 40s on slowly begin to prepare for endgame life.

It'll be somewhere in the middle for me. I like to level with some urgency and get to 60 but I don't typically power it out. I enjoy helping guildies and running all the dungeons and stuff like that. With my IRL business, my leveling speed comes out average compared to most.

He’s just cranky from getting trolled by @MilleXIV yesterday 😂.

My plan... is to have no plan. I will focus in on the quests in some zones but others I don’t really care for. And in some level brackets I will prefer to level up in dungeons. For example BFD.

I will be reading all the quests texts, quest item flavor texts, books and letters etc that I can find.
Why ?
To immerse myself in the respective story of each zone, the role of the NPCs within it, and just to learn a bit more about how everything connects.
Also, I personally feel it makes the rpg in MMORPG big! and that it is an essential part of it.
Besides, reaching lvl 60 just a few hours faster by passing up on all that !content! is not my idea of reliving Classic WoW.

Hey, sometimes no plan can be an absolute blast!

You know, it's funny. As many hours as I put into vanilla, I've forgotten a lot of stuff. I recently logged into Elysium just to mess around and I forgot how wonderful the world was pre-cataclysm. I didn't realize how used to post-cata I was in retail. I'm so excited to reacquaint myself with the old world. :)

I guess that just makes all the more exciting to play through again while giving yourself the time to enjoy it fully.
What is th point of rushing 60 if there arent even enough other players to form dungeon grps at that level...

Exactly! Also, I plan on doing a lot of BG's with my character and it won't even be available for a while.

My plan is to read, get the roleplaying aspect of the game and so on, but honestly, from here and now I can see the future me rushing the crap out of the game. Happens every time... Slow me down!

Nah I didn't mean to but I just hate polls. I am following news here and on /r/classicwow and it seems that every other day there's a poll about something.

I asked because I really can't tell who's genuinely curious anymore or who's trying to reassure him/herself of something they're not sure about (faction/race/class/profession choice, how many hour/week they're going to spend, how many people are not going to "min/max" just like them etc.) and I have nothing against believing what you want to believe for whatever reason, just that I think if you are in that category then should find better arguments than other people's opinion on the matter because people will often say/vote things which confirms or supports their bias, and if you want to do it then it would be better to get an honest impression via comments or something more intellectually engaging than a poll which requires no effort or argument to participate.

But I guess it's fine if you're just curious.

Some other variant:
I don't claim to want to read every quest text, but I will undoubtedly take my time, do professions, do dungeons - hang out with guildies and do random PvP etc. along the way. If I try to rush to 60 I will either burn out, or get frustrated at 60 waiting to do certain content. If I read every quest text and take too long, I may get bored/frustrated with a lack of progress. I will just try be efficient during questing/grinding, but stopping to do other stuff and soak up some atmosphere.

Slow rolling really. I'm playing a pretty middle of the pack leveller, and will be experiencing each dungeon when I'm eligible for it, level wise.

No intention to rush my way through, and I fully intend to level my professions concurrently.

That said, I'll be playing as much as I'm able to, outside of work/gym. I don't have much of a social life at the best of times so that's less of a concern.

Honestly I've never been a fan of reading quest texts, but I will try to somewhat do it this time, even if it is just skimming thru it. I tried it in TESO and tbh I quite liked it, so I'm going to try that again, since I've never done it.

My plan is to level at my own pace. I won't be able to powerlevel as I did back then (not that much free time compared to the Vanilla days) but with the knowledge I have today, I'm sure I'll level more efficiently than back then. I'm not going to "powerlevel", since I want to level my professions at the same time. I'll also do some BG's or some world PvP whenever I feel like doing it. I'll basically do what I want to do at the time. Having fun with friends/guildies on the way to 60 is more important to me!
