Hello folks
My name is Judgement, I've been playing wow since late vanilla. When nost became popular I got into vanilla again and ever since I've been a proud member of the ever growing private server scene. My main class is paladin and the spec is Ret. I also dabble quite a bit in the mage class.
JUDGEMENT

Hey! Looking forward to classic much?!? Love to get my feelers out finding a prospect guild! Hit me up.
Hello
My name is Daniel. I've been playing WoW since it's release, but didn't really get into it until just before TBC released. Only played a rogue on retail, but have since found vanilla priest to be my main class.
Looking for guildies. Hit me up.

Hi all... been lurking for a little bit but figured I'd introduce myself.
My name is Antonio. I was basically a Vanilla addict back in high school and was lucky to experience a good chunk of Naxx. Some of my fondest memories still come from the OG days, so I can't wait to re-experience the leveling, dungeons (SM, DM are the highlights for me), professions, end-game raiding and even PvP.
I started wanting to play pally or warlock but my heart has convinced me little by little to go back to my true identity... a human warrior. For the Alliance!

This site should now be known as priest and paladin chat So many light wielders!
Welcome all of you!!

Hello,
My name is Joakim, been playing World of Warcraft since mid-vanilla until recently.
Im soon-to-be father and having a hope of beeing able to play atleast some.
I will play a Holy Priest as Horde, which I really looking forward too.
I hope I see some of you ingame.

GZ! And good luck with that!

The first weeks you should have no problem, considering your newborn will most likely be sleeping all the time, then there will probably come a few hard months of nothing but taking care of him / her, but once a regular sleep schedule comes along you should have no problems with gaming the evening :)
I know this from experience, I do my best to keep my son well taken care of and my fiancée happy so that I have some late evenings available for gaming!
Alliance Warlock
ManBearCat here
I will be a Night Elf Druid. My friends and I are planning on making a casual hardcore guild, and want to end up in Naxx. We don;t mind about being first there, but that is the goal. I may or may not keep posting on these forums, time will tell.

I love these idiosyncrasies ;)

Hi, to this day I've been only in read mode, but really liked it here so finally signed up. I've experienced amazing Blizzard early games, including WoW hype which makes it kind natural for me to be here. Hoping, that Classic will let those younger and/or new to gaming experience its magic. Loving this forum art & design.

Lurker, Horde EU.
Been playing from Vanilla to WoD, taking my time with a rogue in early Vanilla. Then 2boxing in late Vanilla and 5boxing from TBC. Suits me well since I'm on different hours than most people. Make an early night and up sometimes very early.
Jumped on a little late on the Nost train, and been jumping around since then. Main tanked warrior up to beginning of SSC on Felmyst until the announcement. Sporadic gaming since then.
Excited for Classic and been preparing sheets for all sort of things for a while now. Impressed by the quality of Barrens Chat and like the atmosphere here.

Hello everyone.
Long time player here, essentially subscribed since the game released until now.
Rolled on the first EU RP-PVP server and been playing there since.
Mainly been tanking, as feral druid and prot war, But I never did clear AQ and Naxx. Raided more hardcore in BC and essentially did everything (gotta love those university student years). Since late cata I swapped to Arms and have played that ever since. After I graduated university and started working, and got a gf, I became unable to devote the same amount of time to wow, so I have been playing super casual single player style since then.
I was not originally interested in the idea of vanilla servers so I have never played private servers or anything. But found myself surprisingly excited at the blizzcon reveal two years ago. Having steadily built up hype and tension since then I am now borderline going nuts with anticipation! Must be rough for those people that have been waiting years..
I've largely lost interest in retail and plan to play Classic bigtime :)
I want to be part of a community again after playing alone for years..I live in Japan so I cannot reliably play on primetime. I plan to make a weekend raiding guild (probably on an EU RP-PVP server :) ) and make my way through everything in my own pace. Still looking for members :)
My wife (who is Japanese) is very supportive of this, wanting me to enjoy and be excited about my hobby given how rough Japanese working hours can be. She's already been preparing a little notebook of what food to make and when is convenient to serve it and other such little things for when I dive into the game this summer, bless her heart.
Like many others here, I love getting excited and preparing. Not so much because I want to be super hardcore efficient, but I just like the planning. So I'm also making little sheets with gear/quests/reps etc. I don't plan to push guildies into super min-max though, I want to have a community where people can enjoy playing the game in their own pace. I don't mind spending 5 years dragging everyone to Kel'Thuzad! I don't mind compensating for others and supporting people with guides and instance runs etc. I loved doing that kind of stuff back in vanilla, chatting about stupid shit for hours while farming Maraudon or running new healers through like BRD or something.
I especially loved the hybrids in vanilla and will be playing feral druid again. Can't wait to see beautiful Mulgore and barrens once more.
I found this forum by chance today and was very happy to see it. I really did miss these kinds of php forums from back then. Living in Japan has cut me off from friends and family over many years, so really really want to make things happen once classic comes out.
I hope to get along with everyone and enjoy all things classic :)

Hi everybody!
Like everyone here, I am super excited for Classic to launch. I've been playing on and off since Vanilla, but the time from about a month before BC through the beginning of Cata was the hardest I ever went. I've mained warrior, mostly PVE as tank or DPS, but I've dabbled in PVP and other classes a little over the years. I probably won't play warrior in Classic because I stance dancing was a nightmare for me and I'm not sure I want to put myself through that again. I'm leaning towards a straight DPS class to start, probably hunter or mage.
Looking forward to seeing the world I fell in love with again. I'm a HUGE fan of Taurens, and loyal to Cairne to this day, lol. I hope to see many of you out in the world on launch day! For nostalgia purposes, I'll probably play on Executus, as that was my first server.

Which server do you play on from Japan? Oceanic? Welcome to the forumDriath wrote: ↑6 years agoI want to be part of a community again after playing alone for years..I live in Japan so I cannot reliably play on primetime. Thank you! Happy to be here. I still play on my original EU server, Scarshield Legion. But 7-8 hours time difference + the whole moving here and changing my life has kept me from doing anything with guildies and the guild has essentially died out..
I definitely want to put in the time and effort to keep my community alive this time around!
Hello all,
I wonder how out of place someone relatively new to MMOs would be in Classic, least that is what I'll find out.
My signature explains the few things about myself. Additionally the thing thats kept me dropping MMOs is the lack of friends playing it, and the struggle to make new ones in an old game. Hopefully Classic fixes that, with the benefit of garunteed quality and challenge.
Now to keep lurking, reading all the guides I can. And hopefully find some people to play with!
OCE, Healer or Hunter. For the Horde!

Hey pagwani, welcome to the site!
I think this will be a great entry into MMOs. Vanilla certainly wasn't the 'proto-MMO' of its day (that was probably EQ or knights of..) but rather a sort of slightly refined and 'diluted' version for its time which struck such a good balance that it attracted millions of players. In comparison with modern MMOs you'll find that you are much more dependent on social interactions to progress.
Here's a topic with all the guilds run by Barrens Chat members - might be helpful to you if you're looking for some people to play with.

Greetings......
I played vanilla back in the day, living the 2004 dream and progressing through to the end of WoTLK (I will admit I played a Cata for a couple of months then dropped off)
I’m extremely excited for Classic but being in my early 30’s now most of my IRL friends with whom I played originally are no longer in a position to play Classic or just aren’t interested.
I guess I’m just looking for new people to grind it out with, laugh about the things we did back then, enjoy the nostalgia and relive the epic adventure that was World Of Warcraft.
I will add I’m UK based, will be playing prot warrior and lock, and will be Horde.
Much Love to you all you beautiful WoW players xx
Thanks for the warm welcome.teebling wrote: ↑6 years agoHere's a topic with all the guilds run by Barrens Chat members - might be helpful to you if you're looking for some people to play with.
Hopefully some more casual or semi-casual OCE guilds post in time, if not I'll just find my place in game.
OCE, Healer or Hunter. For the Horde!

Hey there mate! There's something magical about starting a new MMO for sure, so you have quite the adventure to look forward to. Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything you'd like to know.Pagwani wrote: ↑6 years agoHello all,

There's bound to be tons of guilds around, but if you struggle to find a nice OCE one do give me a pm♪I play on EU, but since I live in Japan our playtimes probably match reasonably well :) you'd be welcome to learn and enjoy the game little by little in the weekend raiding guild I'm making.
Just curious, whereabouts in OCE? We get a lot of Australians and New Zealanders in the nearby big cities here.
Welcome to Barrens chat!
I know just how you feel. I'm also early 30s and all my original vanilla/bc/wrath friends basically aren't
playing anymore so the game has gotten so quiet..lets make some noise in classic shall we? :)
I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the offer.Driath wrote: ↑6 years agoHey there mate! There's something magical about starting a new MMO for sure, so you have quite the adventure to look forward to. Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything you'd like to know.

I live in Canberra, Australia. Not the only one if the 'where are you from' thread is anything to go by. It's good here as I haven't had to deal with ADSL for years!
OCE, Healer or Hunter. For the Horde!
Hey all! Pumped for Classic and enjoying re-living all these moments. Played since Open Beta always an Alliance healer or DK tank.
Names Ive used:
Icemanix (Azgalor, Righteous Dawn)
Daedalix (Kilrogg)
Daedalas
Favorite fight: Teron Gorefiend, and Illidan
Favorite instance: CoT Culling of Strat
In Vanilla I raided everything from Ony to Naxx, TBC all the way thru Sunwell. Wrath I saw it all up till the end of Icecrown. Have played off and on to see the rest of the content.

Im brand new to this forum. Love it already. Lots of great topics and threads. Seems to be very welcoming and warm to new members. Im looking forward to discussing WoW classic news updates and content with everyone here. If you see a Gnome Mage named Yams in classic, run away ;).

Welcome to the Barrens chat, mate. Hopefully you will have a good time here. :)Yams wrote: ↑6 years agoIm brand new to this forum. Love it already. Lots of great topics and threads.
