Hi!

I've played WoW back in 2005 as a tauren hunter called Dodeandus on EU's Azjol Nerub server. I've played a bit on classic pservers the last few years, but now I'm waiting on the official release. And I can't wait!

This time around, I'm planning on rolling either an orc warlock, or a troll mage. I'm leaning towards the warlock the most, since I leveled an lock to 60 on a pserver and I loved it.

ABOUT me: I run my own Dutch gaming- and entertainment website, called https://radmag.nl/. If you speak Dutch (or have a good translator) I'd love for you to check it out and give feedback. I post content about WoW Classic obviously and I post it more frequent and faster than big Dutch newswebsites!

I'll be playing Classic on a PvP server with my little brother and about 6 IRL friends. I'm hyped!

Zurgan here, played from the very first day of Vanilla until WoD. WoD had so many high expectations that were not met, I leaved the game. Been on and off to try Legion and BfA, but the game just doesn't have any appeal for me anymore.

I played war from the beginning until the end of BC before joining IRL friends for WoTLK as a pal.

Really hope to live that grind again and play an actual MMORPG and not that game it has been since a few expansions now.

For anyone who is interested, this is probably going to be a Bible... Here we go.

My first experience with vanilla was from my older brother, he was playing since launch with his friends and I'd always go interrupt him and call him a nerd.
On my 11th birthday, 15th of February 2006 my brother gave me Wow as a present and told me, go ahead, start playing and call me a nerd again.

So I did. I created my first character, undead rogue. I was such a bad player that I always ran into the other room to my brother who had several level 60 characters to ask him how to do a certain quest etc.

He eventually got mad at me for asking to many questions to the point where he said. "figure it out, I'm not helping you anymore" and he really stood by that. It got to a point where I would create a dummy character to whisper him, asking him for help and hoping he didn't realize it was me.

I got my rogue to 58 and several alts to 30-45. Did a lot of pvp while still being such a noob at WoW.

Today I'm a retired hardcore raider with several top 20/ top 15 world titles. I've stopped playing retail wow and cannot wait for vanilla to launch. I've also played on Kronos and leveled up a few characters to 60. Cannot wait until summer and all hell brakes loose.

Hello. Been lurking this forum as a guest but decided to make an account because why not.

Been playing WoW retail since 2006-2011. Started in mid Vanilla and stopped mid Cataclysm.

Got to the level 57 + some alts in Vanilla at the age of 11 before TBC. In TBC I had a few level 70s and cleared BT and MH.

I was an altoholic and had every class except Mage at 80 in WotLK and ran Naxxramas over and over and over again.

Since then I have been playing a lot of private servers. I have never been tempted to go back to retail, since Cataclysm with the Guild Perks that made Guilds hungry for gold and mass invites I already felt like the social parts of the game started to vanish.

I had most fun in the private server scene on the Feenix Emerald Dream server, where I raided with a Guild <Ingenium>. We moved forward to a WotLK private server after the shutdown.


I am now 24 years old with a full time job 6 am to 3 pm, or as I would put it, 06:00-15:00.

In classic I will go full main, max 1 alt if even that. I will roll Troll Warrior and Tank, tank and tank. I decided to go Prot Warrior because ever since I played a Tank class it has never gone wrong. I also want to experience more quality playing, as in, logging in and not spending too much time forming groups.

I started playing WoW in late TBC, (February 2008), Started as a warrior but had to quickly switch to level up a rogue, because the guild I was in wanted a rogue. So I have never experienced WoW Vanilla firsthand, but when I began there were still some of the functions from vanilla in the game, like buying mats for vanish etc, ranking up weapon skills and so on. Have played retail since then with the exception of a break mid-Legion, until like for 3 months ago. Reason for that was lacking of time. Playing 2 hours a week didnt feel meaningful to me. Im a better position now (can play like 2-4 hours a day (or night I should say)).
So really hyped about classic coming. Are going to play with working friends at first. Will be trying to level up a warrior tank and a rogue.
But Im a altoholic, so I will create one of each class, on both factions. Everything with class, race and name already made up. And yes, Im a neutral. Dabbling with both sides, even if the Alliance have had my preference in retail. But in classic I will go horde with my working friends.

IRL Im a 41 year old guy from the green plains of southern Sweden, Living in a small town with my wife and cat. Working sundays.-thursday between 12-21 will make raiding a bit hard to fulfill.. But I have the patience and maybe will find a guild together with my working friends that raids in the night.

OK, now I stop rambling and lets hype some more for classic and enjoy it!

Started playing Xmas 2006 on Nagrand-EU, but mainly Al'Akir-EU since WOTLK. Been on vanilla private servers from around WOD release.

Big into (horde) speed levelling, need more horde runners to chat to and saw there's a thread for it First heard about the site from @teebling's incredible wallpapers, which have been on slideshow ever since. The site design looks great btw, props to whoever's working on that.

Hello Everyone, hoping this reaches some old friends from Dragonblight server. My name was Rowenn, I was a Human Warrior in the Guild 'Echelon'. My dad's character was Chassuer he was a Human Paladin. We both came fresh from playing Asheron's Call 2, The announcement that the game was being shut down led us to quit playing and search for a new game. My cousin had an issue of Computer Gaming World and the full spread on World of Warcraft was in it. We had decided to play based on that article, and we all have played every expansion since. I was only 13 at the time so my leveling was done after school and homework but i would pull some late nights on a shared laptop with a blanket over my head and a secret Troll Shaman that my dad didn't know about haha.

I am pumped for classic and i really hope pfUI can be ported to the 7.3.5 client that classic is being built on.

I was told it releases this Summer but as of today it is still snowing in Norway ..making the release feel sooo far off :(

I plan on playing a priest just like my brother did back in the days!

I work 07:00-15:00 2 weeks and 14:00-23:00 every third week. This made it impossible for me to get a Mythic raid spot in Legion :(. But if anyone care to take a shift worker for 40mans then HMU! Prefer Alliance.

Great forum, love the community here. I played in 2006, first server was Quel'Thalas EU, was a pretty new server. Was Allance there for a while - NE rogue called Zord, hence my forum name - cheesey name, but it's nostalgic! Then rolled on Defias Brotherhood, Horde side with a different name. Was heavily into the RP community then, was an officer of an RP guild for a while.

Quit just after WOD, and am likely to come back for Classic. The game isn't even released yet but I'm already obsessed, browsing every forum available! Have been horde since late vanilla, so will likely roll Alliance to relive my first few months in game.

I really like what I am seeing on this site, and have been browsing for days as a guest.
I started WoW with my friends in school, specially with my best friend with whom my WoW journey have been with. We played classic through WotLK where he unfortunately passed away before Cataclysm, and I have been playing up untill BfA very loosely and not focusing on anything specific. Through the last years my main concern has been classic on different unnamed servers :)... Have even sourced out all the old Bradygames books and atlas books, so I am prepared!

Today I am 26 years old, live in Esbjerg, Denmark with my fiancée and our 8 month old son.
My hobby will always be gaming and then I am an avid whisky collector / drinker!
I will only be playing classic in the evening due to work and prioritizing my family. So will be searching for likeminded casual people to play with once it goes live.

I've been lurking on this forum as well now for a while. Before I start commenting I felt that I had to decide on a main first: It's going to be Night Elf Hunter!

I've played WoW in the past from vanilla up until WotLK when I quit due to not 'feeling' it anymore.

My vanilla & TBC main used to be Paladin, in WotLK I mained a Mage and a Hunter. Come Classic I want to play as a Hunter, as said earlier. I made this choice mostly because of their autonomous nature, class fantasy and fond memory of playing the pet system in Vanilla. Due to the fact that real-life caught up with me and I am now father in a nice little family I cannot afford to pull all-night-sessions (not for a game at least, the little ones do that for me) and I will be limited to one night of WoW a week maximum. The autonomous nature of the Hunter enable me to get the most out of this time, while also being able to pull my weight in groups/raids, at least up until Tier 1 difficulty.

I live in Europe and am an avid PVP-er, therefore I will definitely roll on an EU PVP-server. I've recently been interested in RP as well, so I might explore an RP-PVP realm if there is one at launch, but I'm not quite sure yet. I fear the RP-PVP realm will be thinly populated in comparison to the standard PVP ones, so I have to make a choice in realm types in the upcoming weeks.

Heya, guys! i am vanilla feral bear.

Great community, helpful forum. Played vanilla since 2005, my first server was Zenedar EU. I did love feral druid very much.
So i went through vanilla till Zul'Gurub as a feral bear and then happened Burning Crusade.
We did all BC content, my triumph was killing Illidan and BlackTemple was over. During Burning Crudase my role was Off tank bear.
Then our guild rolled on RU realms.

Still missing eu community. Looking forward to meet them again soon.

Howdy, been lurking for a while and kinda couldn't help myself to dive back into the forum community. This is a beautiful designed forum and look foward to getting to know everyone.

Little about me i've been playing WoW since 2006 and quit retail to play on Vanilla private servers since 2010, started on Feenix. Main servers i've been apart of was Emerald Dream (Feenix) Rebirth/Rebirth2.0, Nost, Elysium(Anathema), Lightbringer and now Northdale. I've mained a Paladin majority of my life, mostly as Holy. Didn't start the prot dream until Lightbringer where I raided full time as a off-tank through all content except a chunk of naxx as Northdale announcement killed my guild.

I now play on Northdale as a Orc warrior named Cyne, if you play there feel free to add me!

On classic I will be maining Paladin again and continue the prot dream.

I've been playing since Vanilla in 2005, primarily as an Alliance Paladin on Tichondrius (Battlegroup 9!). I started to dabble in private servers in 2017, splitting my time between Elysium and Light's Hope. I've progression raid healed most of my career, but moved into ranged dps on private servers. Likely looking to be a warrior tank come Classic, so I've been practicing as that leading up to its release.

Been here a week or so and posted a little in the speedrunning thread. Thought it was about time I introduced myself.

I'm an old fart who was probably older when I started playing wow than most of you are now.

I started playing on EU-Shadowsong at the beginning of April 2005, just days before the honor system patch dropped. I first levelled to 60 on a Dwarf Priest (Franklin) and raided Molten Core. I rerolled Orc Rogue (Mischief) and raided Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. I also levelled an Undead Priest (Baitbox) to 60 and did alt-raids with her in Molten Core.

Proudest achievement in Classic was completing my Dungeon 2 set on my rogue. It's still in the bank somewhere.

WoW began its slow death for me even before patch 2.0.1 dropped due to guild drama. I casually played WoW on and off until patch 7.1.0 dropped. I quit a few days after. Has it really been two and a half years?

Probably going to play on a PVE server. I like me some BGs but WPVP has never really been my cup of tea. Classes under consideration are Priest, Mage or Paladin but I might yet surprise myself and roll Warrior.

Hello everybody, I just found out about this forum so I plan to stalk in here and join the chatting for the upcoming vanilla release. I used to play on Sylavanas (EU) server during vanilla times on horde side. I used following nicknames: Kuso/Kusovka/Stokuref. I am still not decided if I return to Horde and also haven't chosen my main yet.
