I may have gone a bit crazy with one of these.
Short term:
1. Enjoy leveling process with friends
2. Find active guild
Long term:
1. Learn to play the class well
2. Experience vanilla endgame
3. Frostsaber

My goals for classic are:
1st. - turn my back on my retail account.
2nd. - Level an Undead Warrior - Name TBD - don't know if I want to give him my OG name or go with my alt's OG name...
3rd. - Level fast enough to stay with the gear wave and start building a PVP rank climb.
4th. - Gear and get through MC in a different aspect than I did in actual vanilla. (switching from OG Healer to DPS)
5th. - Continue the PVP grind as hard as my job will allow, as well as my capability to play the class.

A bit late to the party...
My goal is to get a (human) priest to 60 in a timely fashion, i.e. stay on par with the curve, so to speak, while at the same time explore the maps thoroughly and do all the content. Leveling specc is going to be Holy Smite build.
Professions are going to be Tailoring and Enchanting at lvl 10 -> craft greens -> disenchant -> get Enchanting to lvl 10 and craft wand -> drop both for Herbalism and Skinning -> drop Skinning for Tailoring at lvl 60, craft Truefaith Robes!
Getting all recipes is not really for me though;)
My focus is going to be on PvE, so finding a promising raiding guild even prior to release is going to be paramount.
I want to make sure that I get to experience all of the Vanilla PvE content; as a Priest that includes, in particular, the Benediction staff quest chain!
Other than that I want to become a key master, i.e. get all the dungeon and raid keys there are. Not only because it is quite useful having access to all of them yourself, but also because I always liked the concept of unlocking entry to a dungeon or raid via a quest chain involving a key;)

This is a really cool goal that I’d also like to a achieve!Yori wrote: ↑6 years agoOther than that I want to become a key master, i.e. get all the dungeon and raid keys there are. For me it is to get to see more regarding instances and raids, seeing as I missed out on a lot of them back in the vanilla days (you could usually spot me in the battlegrounds..). Aside from that, I hope I will be able to enjoy some good ol' RP sessions again!
Will not be a hardcore raider though, but I think I got plenty of time the coming years to gear up and slowly get through the content that Vanilla has to offer. ;-)

I've always enjoyed being somebody that will help people out. It's pretty rewarding.
My more immediate goal is to make some cool videos along the journey and for my guild, I've already upgraded my pc and learned to use the software I'll need for this endeavour. I'm also re-rolling the class I mained on ND instead of trying a new one so I can really git-gud and push the class to it's limits, this also ties into my first point as I can help others git-gud.
*eye of the tiger intensifies*
Raiding would be nice, not that fussed on the gear I want to experience the content with a good group of people.

My goal is to get exalted with all Alliance races and roll around on unconventional mounts for my chosen race.
That’s it... I haven’t really thought of anything else.

I will try to get 1-2 characters to 60 and I'll see where flow brings me.
In Vanilla WoW I cleared everything except AQ40 and Naxxramas. I was in a casual progression guild.
My PvP rank was rank 9 iirc.
I prefer having fun with a good group of people, tagging along wherever and whenever I can. Clearing some content and doing some (world) PvP. Looking forward to it at least.

My biggest goal is to get this Shen'dralar reputation up! To this day I hate when I open my reputation tab, scroll down just to see this one disgusting bar that is not maxed - sad moment. I don't even know why I didn't do this back in the day....
Overall, just try not to be the better and faster than my friends. I think this is what took a lot of the fun out on private servers for me.

My goal is to build the best possible guild I can for the hardcore raider types who enjoy being a part of a great community. My goal is to build and develop my team of raiders as best I can and hopefully farm naxx to exhaustion with at least 50% of the same raid team that I start with.
I'd rather start with a team of C- or B- level players and develop them into an A team and clear all the content than start with a team of A players and be the among the first players to clear the 14 year old content.
We are almost certainly going to be successful based on our membership and my past experience, but success to us is being on a team we want to play with and talk to outside of game. Many of us have now met in real life, and I have friends I first met in retail vanilla that I still talk to today.
I'm not disparaging the guilds that want to clear Ragnaros during week one or the guilds who try to pull the highest possible parses on logs or clear dungeons in the absolutely fastest way. Those are perfectly fine games/goals and are an entirely different game. Those goals are just not mine or my guilds in any event. :)
Anyway, I only play vanilla wow for the leadership/guild building game and I can't get into it when I'm not running a guild, so I know my goals are arguably different from most players :)

Building guild members from a 'C or B level' will be healthy for your guild's morale and permanence as well. These people will have a much larger emotional investment in your guild having seen themselves improve after all the guild's assistance over time, and having seen the guild itself progress. Best way to do it I think!
Any guild leader asking for 'A level' players only will have to struggle with those players joining and then leaving on a whim to pursue greener grass.

I'd like to at least kill C'thuun, I really want the Azuresong Mageblade (because I passed on it before b/c I was raid leading and didn't want to look like I abused loot council), and I want to level an alt that is a funky spec that can do something really well that people will remember and talk to their guildies about.

I don't have the time to play like I did during the initial release, when I was in a progressive raiding guild; my goals are to level to 60 in my own time, ideally taking professions that I find fun rather than grinding/levelling professions, and pushing what content can be solo'd.
I'm fully aware that I am highly unlikely to get to raiding for some years due to RL, but I'd like to gently try to get the T0 and T0.5 sets and go from there. Other than that, I'm a keen explorer and want to see every inch of the world over time, and probably try to do every quest as well. I just hope there's a quest tracker addon to help me!

I would love to get Rank 10 for all the blue PvP gear, but I don't think I'll have the time or patience. I think I got to rank 6 or 7 in vanilla. Realistically I would love to just deck myself out in a good set of feral dps/tanking gear, a nice off-set healing gear and get some PvP and maybe casual raiding done.
I am happy to just do 5 mans and BGs and level alts and chill with friends mostly. It's a great big Azeroth out there, and there is plenty to see and do.

Step 1: Enjoy the journey
- Read all quest texts
- Visit every dungeon at least once (okay, aside from Stockades maybe)
- Make friends and fill that friend list
- Maybe find a nice and mature guild which is neither hardcore nor home for slackers
- Collect a feral / hybrid and a healing set enroute
- Level professions
- Avoid burning out
Step 2: Gather preraid gear
- Do dungeon runs with people from my friend list / guild
- (Continue to) gather a tank set, a healing set and a hybrid set
Step 3: Battlegrounds and raids
- Go for PvP rank 8 (PvP set speed bonus for all druid forms)
- Raid Molten Core, Onyxia, Zul'Gurub, Ahn'Qiraj 20 (T1 etc.)
Step 4: Battlegrounds and raids part 2
- Go for PvP rank 10 (full rare PvP set)
- Raid Blackwing Lair (T2)
Step 5: Battlegrounds and raids part 3
- Go for PvP rank 12 (3/6 epic PvP set - again for the speed bonus)
- Raid Ahn'Qiraj 40 (T 2.5), maybe even set foot into Naxxramas...
Steps 1-3 are my minimum goals, step 4 is my standard goal, step 5 is already very (too?) challenging...

Iolden • Selexin • Ravenheart

I have three major goals.
The first would be to no life and make make bank fast to get the best mount in the game.
The blonde Palomino
The second would be to slay Thrall
The third would be to slay KT.
Three very big goals I know, but it will be something fun to work towards. If I get that Palomino I might actually cry

Vikernes - Human Warlock - Arugal

I have a few simple goals that still feel fairly lofty: Roll and enhancement shaman, level up mining and blacksmithing along the way, raid with a good group and craft Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

+ Tier 0.5 after seeing teebs' post! :)
