Ahh ok, I actually saw this 'problem' on Reddit recently, where you ask someone where they are from and it goes like this:
"France"
"Australia"
"Brazil"
"Wyoming"
"Portugal"
Americans tend to identify with their state more than their country at times, which can catch people unawares (i.e. me).

Hello all :). Can hardly wait for summer and I'm really glad I found this site, it's very nice and quite nostalgic. :D

Hey ho! I'm Sebastian (34) from Germany. I have mained a holy priest from Beta until the end of TBC and then switched to Pala until Cata. I am really looking forward to rolling priest again as I did not like how the class evolved after TBC. I am also writing a PvE guide for holy priests which should be online here in the next days. Cheers!

Hello everyone,
I am Kris, 27, Bulgarian but live and work in the UK as a Software Dev.
I started in classic and played all the way to WoD.
My best times where during classic/tbc so I cant wait for classic to hit and make new friends!
I am planning on leveling a priest when classic drops and healing everyone :)
Love the guides on this website and I love the vide!

Hello everyone. Nice to meet you all!
You can call me Xazrael or Frosty. I am known in live WoW as either of those.

Hey all!
I've been playing WoW on-and-off since it was in closed beta. Back then I was 14, and had the time to invest - vanilla through WotLK were easily my most active times. Since then, I've played every expansion, but only raided in a few of them (MoP, Legion, BfA).
Back in the day I played on Mal'Ganis, first on the Alliance side in a guild called Eternal Union. It ended up being somewhat ironically named, since the leader stole 2,000 gold from the bank and transferred servers. After that, I flipped to Horde and joined the Goon Squad at what was probably the height of their WoW shenanigans. Good times, there.
The biggest part of the game for me back then was the social aspect, something that is woefully missing from the live version of WoW. I played for a while at the beginning of BfA, maxed out a few characters and ran up to mythic 10s. I've completely lost interest at this point. In the past I would start a new character and tool around in the old world, but it's so empty now it's almost depressing.
I am hyped for classic - I loved the game back then, especially the RPG aspect and slower pace. I plan to re-create my first characters (Human Mage, Dwarf Hunter) and take my sweet time getting them to sixty. We'll see how it goes now that I work full time and am days away from getting married. Luckily, the soon-to-be wife played WoW, too. So I think she'll get it ;)
If there's any old Mal'Ganis peeps here, hmu.

Hey guys, aspiring pvp elemental shaman here. Dont worry, i know that ill raid as resto. Getting myself ready for classic launch. Probably going to be leveling with 4 other friends. Good luck in your classic rng!
Peace.

What a nostalgic forum. Nice!
Hello everyone, I'm Gallow; originally from EU Sporregar, later EU Sha'tar. My characters include Oozeling the undead warrior, Scrolls the druid, and of course Gallow the Undead Priest. My most active main was Furude the Blood elf paladin but thats TBC heh.
I've played WoW from final patches of vanilla (did MC/BWL at most), all through TBC (cleared all raids except Sunwell) and Wotlk (all raid content cleared). I dabbled my feet in some MoP, and have renewed my subscription once or twice after that, but never played for more than a week.
I'm excited as hell for vanilla - although since I don't have a gaming PC anymore I need to take a look into that. Indicentally, I'm thinking of buying a gaming laptop these days as space is a luxary at my home right now (I'm living in Japan and the apartment is not that large). Anyone has any recommendations / cons-pros / tips for playing WoW via a laptop? I've never played anything on a laptop so not sure if that's gonna be my thing, but then again I may not have any other choice.
As to what to roll during Classic, I'm torn between either an Undead Warlock, Orc Hunter or a Tauren Druid. I will be playing 5-10 hours per week at most, so outside of MC I probably won't be raiding much. Druid leveling seems the most fun, but I don't want to be a healer at lvl 60. I used to be a very good tank (never played as a druid tank though), so I may take that route again and as long as it's 5-mans/MC, it should be probably fine.
Anyway, thanks for having me!

Hey guys!
I have been an off and on again player of WoW since Cata released. I was in my teens during WotLK and that is when I played the most. I am really looking forward to the Classic release this summer.
I am looking to join a horde guild at some point. I will be a casual player as I won't be spending vast amounts of time in game. Essentially I am looking for a guild that prioritizes real life over the game, but still wants to try and progress through content.
Thanks!
PS: As you can tell from my name, I'm a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. I'm sure there are a few others around here.

I'm looking for a very similar group as you are. Real life prevents me from playing how I did as a kid. Let me know if you find something! I'll even forgive you for being a Nebraska fan!HuskersInWoW wrote: ↑6 years agoHey guys!

Greetings everyone!
I first encountered WoW when I was able to play the open beta two weeks before the official launch of the game in the EU. I still remember playing a Night Elf female and not hating the game. Can't remember the class though.
I did not played it at launch though since at the time paying monthly for a game was absurd to me. Instead I played Guild Wars for a bit. A colleague of mine at the time was talking all the time about WoW and eventually I decided to just give it a try. I mean, I get a free month so at least I would be getting my hours worth.
When I made my account it was June 2005. That was when it began. I made a human female Warlock and leveled to around 43 or so, before stopping for about 3 months. I was in the Un'Goro crater area when I stopped. After those 3 months I resumed again and eventually made it to level 60. I was happy my guild at the time did not kicked me for being inactive. I was on the EU PvP server called Dunemaul and my first guild there was called Ryfari on the alliance side.
My first character, the Warlock, took 19 day's of /played to reach level 60.
Eventually I made a Rogue because raiding as a Warlock was boring for me. Just spamming shadowbolts all the time. This was because of the debuff limit. I was not able to use my full tool set.
I raided up-to and including parts of AQ-40 with the guild. Also loved doing PvP and made Rank 7 I believe (Knight-Captain).
Eventually I rolled a Hunter on the Horde side (Orc Female) and managed to level that to 60 in 2 weeks. Just in time before TBC launched.
I plan on leveling a Hunter this time as well (Night Elf female Alliance side (still subject to change, this or Orc female)). After having played all the classes many times and playing the BlizzCon Demo I decided Hunter is just my thing and the perfect class for me to casually level in Classic WoW. Since I only plan on leveling once I am going to take my time and enjoy the ride. I am in no rush this time.
Great to meet you all!

Welcome to the forum @Sojiro84, @Quinnlan, @Gallow, @Tanis, @HuskersInWoW & @Frost Shock.
Hopefully you will have good time here.

Hi everyone,
been waiting for Classic for a looooooong time, it's finally happening. I've played WoW since vanilla, but the late expansion didn't get a grip on me.
I'm looking for a group of players ont GMT-3 or GMT-4 timezones, Alliance side.
Cheers
