First of all i would like to say that i really love this site and it gives me the good old vanilla vibes.

My name is Rambo, i startet playing wow in final beta 2004. I played a NE rogue on EU-Daggerspine(Laggerspine) named Starforce and i have been playing on and off since EU launch 11 feb 2005. My chars (Main Human Paladin Râmbo) are now all on Ravencrest but i currently have no active sub. I, like many of you miss the good old vanilla feeling and can't wait to play classic.
Currently leaning towards playing an undead rogue because most of my irls want to play horde this time arround.

I've been a bit of a lurker for a while now. Been excited for Classic since it's announcement and can't stop checking for updates since.

I started playing WoW in February '05 on Bloodhoof-Main'd a NE Rogue (Vasher) through TBC. Then I switched to warrior in WotLK (after trying DK for a bit). I was a "hardcore" raider through most of it and grew kind of bored of WoW at the very end of Wrath, right before Cata. Those Vanilla/TBC years were the best raiding/social experience and overall best online gaming experiences I've had to date. Looking to hopefully re-capture some of that glorious nostalgia a lot of us are craving from some our past vanilla experiences.

Of course it will be different now that I'm in my late twenties, married and working. Still I look forward to visiting Azeroth once more, and will binge as much as I can none the less :)

Also, been playing some LH - Northdale in the meanwhile to fill that "need" while I await the real thing.

Hey everyone! Heard about this forum on /r/wow and I gotta say, I love the retro design of this forum! Definitely brings back memories! I first picked up WoW in November 2005 and I've been playing ever since. I did play a couple private servers but I always found myself going back to retail. When Blizz announced Classic coming out this summer I made the decision to ditch Retail and come back home! Glad to be here!

What's good peeps! I'm kamphare, but with more rad spelling. I'm Norwegian, recently hit level 30 irl and eagerly awaiting classic.

I've played every wow expansion including legion, but it has been a completely different game in my mind since cataclysm. I've told myself that I probably won't touch wow again with every expansion since - but I always end up going back. It's always the music that gets me, in that I start listening to music from various zones and start dreaming, which slowly reels me in - every. single. time.

...With the exception of BFA. I haven't touched it, and I haven't felt compelled to either. I feel this is an indicator of both how the game and myself have evolved with the years. Though I'm still a gamer at heart, there's something about it that isn't the same. I'm more picky about my experiences these days, and want to make the most out of my limited spare time. I also worked in video games for the last 7 years, which has definitely had an effect on how much I enjoy video games in general.

I never hit 60 in vanilla, so that's my goal for classic. Besides that, I just want to enjoy the experience.

Hi all, seeing as I have been playing WoW from Vanilla till WotLK I have been known by many names. Now however, I will be known as Krannok Stormcleaver when Classic hits! Prior to my WoW experiences, I have played all the Warcraft titles.

So I have been playing on the EU RP-PVP Defias Brotherhood for four years and I really loved that server and it's community. I have been mostly playing as the Gnome Warrior Berry Talfoot, but was also known as the Orc Hunter Yaghor Bloodspiller. I love the art someone made for me for both these characters:



I hope to get a similar experience once Classic hits, to really re immerse myself into the vast World of Warcraft. Nice to meet you all and will talk to you soon!

I'm a french guy who discovered vanilla 2 days a week and one week every holiday with my father.
I played a Female nelf warrior on the French normal server Dalaran.
I will not make the same mistake and will not respec with every dungeon (why did I do that ?!) and will not take Enchant/Mining, I was so poor my guildmaster bought me my mount and helped me to repair after every dungeon...

I changed faction and server in the late BC time until the end of Wotlk.
Since then I played only one month on every new expansion then quit...

I'm really not decide If I will play on Horde side this time or Alliance...
I'm pretty sure about the class and will level a drood this time. (With a hunt and warrior every time my rest xp is full on them).

Hello everyone! I'm from Spain and I started playing back in Wotlk, in the Quel'Thalas American server, because my brother messed up registrating and when we noticed our characters were like lvl 50+ and didn't want to reroll.
I've played on an off in retail but nothing gets close to the experience I had in Wotlk and with Classic relaunching I'm looking forward to re-experience a new world for me and have fun with the game again.
I will be playing a Night Elf Hunter, choosing a class was hard but after playing one in RetroWow I'm liking them a lot.

I'm Minorou, some of you might recognize me from the Countdown to Classic community. I contribute a lot over there. Hi!

I've been big on the Warcraft franchise ever since Warcraft 2. I grew up on the series ever since. I started WoW as a beta tester, and continued to play from day 1 release. I started off as Alliance, then rerolled Horde on a new server as they were rolling out and founded the top PvP guild on the server. We eventually got sick of pumping out High Warlords, and switched over to raiding; even got a server first boss kill, much to the surprise of our Alliance rivals.

I'm rather proud of being one of the first 100 Bloodsail Admirals worldwide. I was rather famous for it too on my server, since I had to strip naked every time I went by goblin territory to prevent equipment damage. Every AQ raid night, everyone would watch me strip then use my Teleporter: Gadgetzan and see my raid portrait go gray as I die.

While waiting for Classic, I made a ton of vanilla WoW animated wallpapers. Check them out if you'd like, though it does require Wallpaper Engine on Steam.

Yo, i just made a account here since some one linked it in discord, and i love the forum's layout and am a Long time Warcraft (Mostly WoW fan.) Been playing Wow since i was one of those, annoying kids on vent, though at least i tanked well enough to find myself in a nice enough raiding guild.

Hoping this time around i'll do the same, honestly i can't think of a game that just feels as great to tank in as does Vanilla wow, besides tbc. Every other MMO simply doesn't feel the same may it be the desgins the systems in place, community and what have you. Though i also am a weirdo who only enjoy's playing a prot warrior, i've mained the same toon from Vanilla all the way to legion, though i stopped playing on a raiding level early cata, before picking it up again in Mop only to drop it once more by ToT. After playing on some P servers between all those times, Vanilla wow still doesn't hold a candle to really any other game, besides Civilization 4.

Luckily? It seems i'll be able to go another round for Vanilla WoW, since i have even more free-time now as an adult then i ever did as a kid, so hopefully i'll be able to meet a bunch of random folk, and have a fun time tanking dungi's or just ganking.

I was a long time Horde only main till about Cata, then i made my first Twink guild, and after some P server expereince, Alliance W PVP is much more fun, since horde in my personal experience are way more aggressive, so i'll be going a Night elf warrior. Yep, night elf. I always say i'm the main character, clearly being a handsome young elf is the protagonist of this game :P.

Hello guys.

I'm a 28 year old (almost turning 29) guy from Belgium. I started playing WoW in February 2005 (EU release).
It was my first MMORPG but because I wasn't used to playing MMO's (I was 100% devoted to Counter-Strike 1.6 back then), I had some breaks while playing WoW. My first ever character was a Night Elf Hunter (like 90% of the newbs who started back then). After some time I decided to level a Night Elf Druid. I remember leveling as Balance (up till +-40) and then as Resto (up till +-49) which was a huge pain in the ass. Do not ask me why I tried leveling as resto.. :D I guess I wanted to heal all the dungeons more efficiently. At 49 my mate convinced me to go Feral (I didn't know how to decently play the shapeshifting meta so I guess that's why I stuck to the "easy" rotation of moonfire + starfire + wrath spam). After hitting 60 I rolled a second character as an Orc Warlock because 50% of my friends were Horde. After a while I also got an Undead Priest to 60. Those were my 3 main characters back in the day.

I will most likely play a Druid (or Warlock) in Classic again. Curious to see the difference with the knowledge I have today compared to the good old times. I've played every expansion since (the Druid was always my main).

Looking forward to play Classic! Please announce the release date <3

Hi, amazing forum. I'm turning 20 soon and I never tried Vanilla, but I'm going to give it a shot once it is released. Probably I will play orc warlock like on retail, but at the moment Battle for Azeroth is really boring so I cannot wait to try Vanilla!

Hello! 33yo from DFW! Played a resto druid and prot warrior in vanilla. Played the Warrior for most of my wow career until I quit in Mists. Look forward to doing another warrior! I love the grind! :D
