Grinded Basilisks for the better part of 38 and 39 over the last two nights. Hit 40 last night, got me mount, ran two RFD runs, picked up Excaliboar, promptly went to Badlands where I had my ass bitten off by coyotes over and over while I leveled my 2H swords from 1. *grumbles* Dinged 41 when all was said and done. Not a bad night! Unfortunately, it's back to work with me for the next four days. :(
Stupid job and adulting and dumb stupid bills and responsibilities....

Badgirls - Level 46 Human Rogue - US Incendius PvP
into 46 (as of posting)
So I've been having a BLAST on my rogue. I actually started about a week later from Classic's actual release, as I was out of town. So from when I started playing I'm very pleased with my progress :)
LOVE all you folks' char's too! Keep em coming!

I'm not satisfied with the timeline, that's one of the points. The thing that bothers me the most is that for example all Quest Hubs are in the game from the beginning, why?
Then I find the itemzation totally messed up, sorry but we are in phase 1 and have droprates of 1.10 and items of 1.12?
Yes and then we have the layering where I'm not sure how Blizzard wants to remove it.
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!

This grind from 37-40 is surely the hardest chunk of the grind so far for me. I feel like I just can't find a good area to farm mobs in like before. Badlands was DECENT last night but I still spent a lot of time running around wasting time. 75% of the way to level 39. So close to 40 but so far.
I feel like I need to just spend a night grinding the hell out of SM until I hit 40.

Why don't you do quests and not grind mobs? Do you have to grind at that level? I haven't been there yet so I do not know!

Arathi, Alterac, and Stranglethorn COMBINED do not have enough quests to get you past level 36, and Desolace is cancer. That was when I started spamming Scarlet Monastery.

Pirate the warrior.
Dal'rends set with crusader. Most pre BiS. Edgemasters handguards in bank. Working towards Lionheart Helmet. Completed every boss in MC pre Domo (we have been too lazy to farm hyrdax rep and frankly, unmotivated) - attempting Ony tomorrow.
Abusing layering while inside dungeons has made it easier for guys to farm their gear quickly. We hadnt anticipated that you could actually use layering to respawn bosses but that is the case. Gearing in Classic is FAST.

Looks like a hotfix and ban hammer is coming for players abusing layers in dungeons. Apparently this was a thing early BFA that was abused and people got banned for?Stfuppercut wrote: ↑5 years agoAbusing layering while inside dungeons has made it easier for guys to farm their gear quickly. Got a Warlock until level 30. I should've known it would be futile for me to play a caster (as I don't play them in RPGs) and I thought it would be different somehow this time. Of course, I was wrong.
So, my Bear Tank made it to almost level 20 last night.
Also:
@badgirls Please tell me the name of the addon you use for checking / unchecking Helm & Cloak from character tab. Thanks!

Meh, I'll keep you updated. There are too many ways to exploit layering... I have profiteered off of layering quite a lot, I doubt this will be any different and I doubt this will be the last instance of layering abuse we see before its removal. Predictable and avoidable.

For devilsaur it made perfect sense and the hotfixes they applied made it seem like that was not considered a bannable exploit but something that just merited a few tweaks to their system. I've seen people getting thousands of gold off of this instance layer abuse though. That kind of spending power can really devastate the economy.Stfuppercut wrote: ↑5 years agoMeh, I'll keep you updated. There are too many ways to exploit layering... The economy will recover as the abuse is no longer in circulation. But yes many people have made great profits and are miles ahead of other players.Lendryn wrote: ↑5 years agoFor devilsaur it made perfect sense and the hotfixes they applied made it seem like that was not considered a bannable exploit but something that just merited a few tweaks to their system. I believe it is an option in Leatrix Plus. I will check further when I am home and on gaming rig later.

24, super slow and chill - I simply don't have time these days to power level.
I started rethinking should I actually level lock, since I get the feeling it will suck to be a lock and undergeared vs. others when I reach 60.
Started thinking about rogue, going back to the roots :)

3 Shot Rag. 1 shot Ony. Done til phase 2. 2nd Rag kill alliance side Fairbanks, first kill done by 1 solo guild, other was pugged by a bunch of guilds and their best players.

Gallow has hit level 38, with 120 gold in her name. Goal #1; completed! (Save enough money to buy a mount prior to 40)
Goal #2 was getting a full Scarlet gear, and my god SM: Armory has not been kind to me. I did a total of 14 runs, TWELVE of which dropped the helm. The other 2 gave us a shoulder, which I did not win. I did buy a scarlet chest piece very cheap, and got the belt/bracer/gloves so far, so I'm missing the boots and the leg (also the unofficial part of the set; the fucking shoulder). If I can find the boots for cheap, I'll buy that as well. I wouldn't mind getting the axe from Herod, but I don't want to see Herod again >_>

Level 40 now. The last couple of levels felt like such a complete slog due to fighting over questmobs and being forced into constant pvp. Which is especially painful because horde outnumbers alliance quite significantly. I dont want to grind dungeons as I enjoy questing a lot more, but its becoming increasingly hard to justify.

What's this notion that when you kill the last boss your done with the game?
This isn't Mario...it's an MMORPG, there is always something to do...
I see this all the time in retail when they release new raid and a week later people complain because there is no more content.
I don't get it, you killed him once congrats, wasn't designed to be killed just once. I guess times has changed with MMORPG's where you keep killing the bosses to better your gear...

| Nýxt - Demonology Warlock | Kirtonos PVP | Level 50 | - | Awkaran - Resto Druid | Kirtonos PVP | Level 20 |
| Fatherbatch - Holy Priest | Kirtonos PVP | Level 1 | - | Reignmaker - Frost Mage | Kirtonos PVP | Level 1 |

It was in fact an option on Leatrix Plus. Under Interface, it was "enable vanity controls" or something like that. @algorithm

For the competitive side of the community there is an end... We beat the content that is available. We won. Now, obviously we have to continue gearing for the next phase, but for now, we've finished the game. And to be honest, there really isnt much to do... And phase 2 doesnt really add anything new for us. Dire Maul is ehhh, we'll grab a handful of blues and be done in a few days. There is PvP but we cant control the bracket with BG's so we wont bother until phase 3. World bosses are sort of out of our control, we may attempt the tags but these are usually more effort than they are worth on a mega server. We'll just sorta coast until BWL.
Depending on how long phases are we will likely be farming MC/Ony for 6 - 9 months+.
