My first high-level character will be a warlock tailor for fast leveling and gold-farming, and to make bags that will be used by my true main.

My main will be a warrior blacksmith.

Going with Enchanting and Tailoring, hopefully I will have some help leveling Enchanting from my group but I am not looking forward to it.

Most likely going skinning and either herbalism or mining while leveling. haven't really decided yet. What is most profitable for solofarming Mara and lashers in DM?

Considering switching to engineering once I've made sine bank.

I'm going for Herbalism and Skinning while leveling. I have a list of Herbs for 1-300 though so I will not continue leveling until I have all mats. At 60 I will drop Skinning and sell the leathers and "power level" Alchemy 1-300. Alchemy I have to save gold for consumables so I can afford mount.

Finnigan - Dwarf Hunter Lvl 30
Portalmaster - Gnome Mage Lvl 19
Shaelur - Dwarf Paladin Lvl 22
Shaelus - Night Elf Druid Lvl 50

Mining + skinning when leveling.
Drop skinning around level 40~ when I can afford my mount + skills.
Pick engineering.

OR

Mining + engineering from start. Fuck gold amirite...

Bags are few and far between and I'm rolling a lock so armor will be nice as well since you can actually use the stuff you make in the classic world so tailoring it is for me. Skinning secondary since you use leather in some tailoring recipes and it sells well in the AH.

Blacksmithing - Armorsmith here.

Gotta make those Lionheart Helms and Titanic Legguards! Should be able to sell them the entire duration of Classic and afford epic mount this way.

this is my plan as well, but these plans are super rare and difficult to get from what I recall.

I'm going to level with gathering professions but I'm not sure which to pick yet. Seems like everybody has skinning, so I might go mining and herbalism.

No love for blacksmithing? Come on people, best profession in game! Who doesn't want to craft an Arcanite Reaper?

Leveling will be skinning/herbalism, once i reach 60 i will drop skinning for tailoring and craft https://classic.wowhead.com/item=14154/ ... -vestments i will then drop tailoring for engineering and end up herbalism/engineering.

I think players tend to go skinning + mining or herbalism since it's easy. You're gathering off the corpse of the mob you just killed and vendoring most of the mats. Doing mining and herbalism together will force you to alternate between Find Herbs & Find Minerals to locate notes on your mini-map, not to mention there's more competition for nodes than for skinnable corpses.

Leveling alchemy is down to a science now and not difficult to do in a day or two. I'll start with two gathering professions and eventually have multiple transmute specced alchemists hoping to get multiple Arcanite Bars going a day. Money will be tight for a long time.
