Spanish top 20 guilds are gonna choose a server by sunday night.

I don't understand the server names debate. Does it really matter that much ? There are not much servers after all !
As a French the choice is going to be pretty straightforward, maybe I'll go to English realm but I don't really now what to expect.
Has a list with streamer and top guilds choices already been made ?

roll herod if you partake in barrens.chat, that way we all can be friends in-game too

Seen that today haha. I'm still holding out that they will add realms as needed before launch. I would not be surprised if we seen another set released pending name reservation and character creation on the 12th. Surely they will add more as they see a massive interest level? Otherwise we are stuck with servers of 30k+ players with more than 10 layers. Based on the stress test yesterday, layer hopping is real and layering hopping is INCREDIBLY valuable early on. We did 4 runs 1-10 and layer hopped in each of them as a duo rogue/warrior. Our runs were all relatively clean. As a duo on private (skipping quests that are unrealistic on a launch) we typically had around 2hours - 2hrs 10 mins played. Our worst layer had us sitting at 4 hours (our 3rd attempt) and our best layer had us at a 1-10 time of 2hrs 15 mins (our 2nd attempt) where we received a group invite from a friend on an inactive layer.

Do you know where they will post this so I can avoid this?
Ten Storms EU Alliance
Finnigan - Dwarf Hunter Lvl 30
Portalmaster - Gnome Mage Lvl 19
Shaelur - Dwarf Paladin Lvl 22
Shaelus - Night Elf Druid Lvl 50

It's not only the guilds, all the other "free" spaniards will go there as well. Trust me, there will be alot. Especially if EU only have 2x PvP servers.
I'm actually legit worried
I played Agamaggan in Vanilla until lvl 30ish, had to switch server because you did not get a group or guild unless you were spanish. There were no english what so ever in the trade/general chat because it was silenced by all the spanish. It really destroyed the game for non spanish speakers.

Well, EU names are a bit underwhelming to be honest. A few weeks ago I had posted some realm name suggestions on the forums just for fun (https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t ... mes/62629/) and I think it had some pretty good ones. Anyway, it looks like I will check Zandalar Tribe since I was interested in RP-PvP and it is the only one that I can play.

I will update whenever they decide. Probably it will be a thread on the EU and NA forums.

Can certainly tell that NA is way favoured, but that is not a surprise since Blizzard is an American company.
I think I will have to land on Golemagg PvP then, since I'm EU.

Naming Conventions -
NA PvP (Including RPPvP) - SM/Naxx Bosses
NA PvE - NPCs (half theoretically friendly, half not if you don't count Mankrik being Horde only)
NA RP PvE - Reputation/Faction
Interestingly, the RP name theme carries over to Europe, but this time includes RPPvP in the convention instead of giving it a boss name.
EU RP (Including RPPvP) - Reputation/Faction
EU PVP - MC Bosses
EU PVE - Places/Towns
Interestingly, Both Oceanic and Russian break from these conventions with but not entirely - their PvE realms are both named after Friendly NPCs while their PvP servers are both named after enemy bosses. In this way their PvP server names still have a lot in common with other PvP server names (with the exception of the EU RPPvP server since it took after RP PvE instead), and also in common with the NA PvE server names.
At first I thought Atiesh broke the mold, except when you think about it...https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22589/ ... e-guardian is different from just "Atiesh". That's Atiesh <Hand of Sargeras>.

EU has 5 PvP servers, 2 English, 1 French, 1 German, 1 Russian and one RP_PvP. We have just as many as the US guys, but some people in Europe dosnt speak english so they get their own language servers.
Also, who cares about server names? I dont care at all, i will join the server my guild leaders settle on.
With only 2 English PvP realms the Alliance/Horde ratio might be close to 50/50.

No, not really. But we've all been waiting for so long that everything else has already been talked to death at this point. So now we get to complain about server names to hold us over while we wait the final few weeks

Gonna be playing on Zandalar Tribe, but I feel like the realm name is too long, why have 'Tribe' at the end? Just lessens the appeal of the server for me. 'Zandalar Realm' rather than 'Zandalar Tribe Realm'

I mean... you could just call it the 'Zandalar Realm'. Blizzard won't ban you for not typing out the full server name every time you refer to it.

I know, it's not really an issue. I can call it the Zandalar Realm all I want, but it's still called the Zandalar Tribe realm and I just don't like the name

While that may be the case, I still think the name is worse because of it. Why not be named after the place?

Apparently because they wanted RP realms to be named after reputations, with the strange exception of Grobbulus being piled in with the NA PvP naming convention. An unfortunate exception really, I can't think of any reputation that would sound worse.Casp wrote: ↑5 years agoI know, it's not really an issue. Man blizzard could name the NA west coast realm Hello Kitty Island Happy Adventure Fun Time Server 4 and I'm still playing. You're going to see the name one time and then never see it again.
If you're stressing about how many words are in the name of your server then you might want to step outside and get some fresh air for a bit
