Raid information

Other: We will have an Attendance Points system alongside DKP which will reward players who are committed to attending raids as they will be able to then spend these points on items that don't particularly benefit the raid, but have collectible or niche off-spec/PVP value, such as 2H weapons and ZG mounts.

What you can expect from us
We have two main goals in mind; the first being to down content in a timely manner, and the second is to laugh and have a good time. We aim to have a guild with a good mix of classes and specs (so not 15 fury warriors), with room for more niche specs provided they add sufficient utility/flavour to the raid; a SPriest that buffs the warlock dmg, a Feral that can OT when needed and provide crit for the melee. In short a relaxed raid environment but with competent players.

What we expect from you
We're looking for players who can commit to our raid schedule and who are motivated to participate in progression on a fairly light schedule. We're not just looking for people who can top the meters however; survivability, situational awareness, and most importantly, being able to fit in well with the guild both during the raid and outside of it is also key.

We’re recruiting a few players for our semi-hardcore dungeon-leveling team. Our main goal is to ding level 60 before ~5 days played before the first week is over, while also getting multiple pre-raid BIS items and attunements in this time.

It’s very important to us that you are both trustworthy and trusting in us, as all of the items that is not used within the group will be sold and shared equally among our party. We are expecting to be able to afford mounts and training for all our members at level 40, and still be wealthy at 60. However, gold farming is not our main goal.

Our setup will consist of 3 warriors, an enhancement shaman and a priest.

Hi everyone!

This is another long post about my plans for Classic and what I want to do. A little about me, I'm a 20 year old college student and I recently only started playing WoW. Personally I'd love to finish all of the raids since I never played during Vanilla (or at all until recently), so I'm basically a big noob when it comes to Vanilla.

I logged onto a pserver to try out some classes up to 20 to get a feel for them before I decided and now I'm dead set on mage.

But more importantly I decided I'm going to try to create a guild and become a guild master on my server and to try to become one of the top guilds there

This will be very difficult for me since, when it comes to Classic, I don't have a lot of experience and the same goes when it comes to leading a guild.

Which is why I've come to here, the good old Barrens Chat looking for advice and maybe for some people to join me in my effort to create a guild from the ground up with nothing previous to prop ourselves up with.

I'm going to be playing on a PvP server in EU and I'll be playing Alliance. I have no determined raid times since it's still just myself at the moment but I hope to expand and thrive.

Reading through my post it probably looks amateurish compared to all the other posts, but that's because it is. I don't have a previous guild to bring with me into classic, just a few friends that I know, so yes this guild does not and hasn't existed before but I think that's a good thing. Classic is meant to be a fresh start and I'd love for everyone here to join me

While we already have a guild megathread, here are my 2 coppers when it comes to guild leading and game knowledge.

Background on me: I lead my guild during end-TBC and mid Wotlk. It got merged with another active raid group mid Wotlk so we were able to clear all raids. I was also the raid leader for almost all of Wotlk. I plan to start a casual-ish guild for Classic.

You absolutely don't need any experience to make a guild! It is a learning experience; you get to know people, have to make tought decisions and while it's not for everyone, some people love that experience.

That being said, if you are aiming to become a top guild, you will need people who know what they are doing. This means raid leaders, officers, class leaders who know the game well. And sorry to be blunt, but what do you bring to the table, if not the game knowledge or guild leader experience? I understand your enthusiasm, but if I had to suggest anything I would say join a serious guild, be open about what your experiences are and that you are willing to learn. Otherwise you will have to rely on people around you to get anything done, and that will become extremely taxing on your raid and class leaders and officers (they will be already busy doing their job, and now plus they have to keep you informed).

@Gallow Thanks for the feedback. After reading what you said and rereading my post I suppose I could have phrased it slightly differently. I intend to be one of the better guilds on the server.

Maybe not near the top but definitely a guild that people go "oh yeah I know a few people in Frost. They're pretty good I wouldn't mind doing a few things with them"

I'm not sure if I got my point across in my explanation there.

In terms of what I can bring to the table I'd honestly say not a lot in terms of Classic knowledge but in terms of general skill if like to think I'm near the top and I pick up things VERY fast. For example in modern WoW (I know, imagine still playing BFA), I started a monk and within a few weeks of having no knowledge of the class i was tanking, clearing heroic and a bit of mythic.

@Apol in that case all's good! Just be clear and frank with your guildies and it should all come naturally in time.
Managing 40 people in a raid can be challenging, so I suggest looking up some guides for that. But time is the best experience ;p

I'm starting a "Unofficial" guild for whatever the biggest PvP server on NA is.
It'll be called <Goldshire Country Club> and it'll be a premium Pugging service which will be ran by my core of peeps. Goal is the be the #1 pug raids on the server and offer memberships to secure spots for the raids in exchange for a fee. (Club member).

We plan to eventually have 2 raids running for 40 mans. (Buddy and I plan to have 2 mains so we can lead in both raids).

A lot of it is in the works but thats our plan at the moment. Our core doesn't really plan to be in a actual guild until AQ+ mainly due to us ranking to 13/14 and seeing pugging raids and making money off it the best option for us. :D

We are currently looking at a 8:15PM EST to 11:30PM EST raiding schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hi! Heralds of Time will be a guild focused around pushing the latest content at a pace close to Hardcore, the primary difference is that we don't have plans to use every single World Buff for raiding, but we will still use heads in Orgrimmar, or the warchief buff, when possible. Our loot system will be a mixture of EP/GP and Loot Council, Loot Council will be used for high end items and legendaries, things that will be BiS for multiple phases or are immensely rare.

We will likely start off slowly, as we will still be heavily recruiting when the game launches. We won't truly slap on that Semi-Hardcore label until Phase 2, and hope to be completely in working order by the release of Blackwing Lair. I want to create a friendly atmosphere, but not a casual one. We will not allow drama stirrers or people who constantly flame in chat channels. The only hate you should bring is a hate against the enemy faction or the bosses you are fighting. You still must pull your weight, and if not you will be benched and potentially eventually removed. I expect everyone to be playing regularly, working to improve their gear.

Raids and guild will be lead by old vanilla top dogs and latest private realm speedrunners that decided to step down a notch and take it semi-hardcore this time while still clearing all content and enjoying the game.

We plan on joining a high population server but NOT the one with streamers or other celebrities.

While we usually act as a friends and family guild, we do however take our raid team/s seriously and with that said - we expect you to bring all the consumables, keep yourself up to date with your class, farm pre-raid BiS gear and listen to your raid leader. Also, we do expect you to be there 20-30 min before official raid start time prepared and ready to be invited to the raid group. We opted in for 1 day a week during Phase 1 and 2, then switching to 2 days a week afterwards and we got no time to waste by slackers.

Core of the guild is made of adults (30y+), people with family and kids who value their time. There is absolutely no place for toxic or arrogant players here, if you plan on raging, not listening, pissing people off - don't bother with us.

All classes are currently welcome - need rogues mostly though (funny enough).
