WoW Classic Season of Mastery PvP Rank Fix

som pvp rank fix featured image

Earlier this week, players reported issues with the amount of Rank Points gained. Instead of having rank points doubled for Season of Mastery, players were gaining the regular amount of rank points. Following these issues, players instead reported having PvP ranks higher than intended. Now, in an effort to fix the PvP ranks, Blizzard released a post detailing the corrections coming to fix this issue.
Players should see their correct rank after relogging, once the calculations for PvP ranks are complete. For those that purchased gear from ranks higher than they were supposed to have reached, the gear will be removed and refunded. Additionally, it’s advised to not spend any ressources on enchants for gear that you may not keep after the calculations are complete.

At this time, we’re running calculations that will bring Season of Mastery players who have earned Honor to the correct Rank. This may take a little while to complete, and if you aren’t seeing your correct Rank thereafter, logging out and back in may be required.

As soon as we can, we intend to refund and remove gear from player-characters who do not meet the Rank requirement to have obtained the gear. With that in mind, we advise players who have found themselves in possession of a high Rank piece of gear to not waste any resources on it, such as enchantments.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to fix this.
