I'm Oregano I played from 3 months after release until now. leveled my main character (rogue) in every expac. I raided MC on vanilla, ICC in WOTLK,Firelands and Dragonsoul in Cata.I've played on a few vanilla pservers here and there but never committed much time to progressing since all could be lost without warning. I'm excited for classic and like most of you still unsure of which class I'm going to main.

First of all, glad I can be part of this website and community, this whole Classic momentum really brings back warm feelings of the times when everything was simpler and convenient. Great job with the website!

I've been playing on and off ever since pre-TBC era, creating my first character just weeks before TBC launched. So, my experience with Vanilla was very limited in that regard. Unoptimal builds, questionable gameplay decisions (leveling up Unarmed skill with casters...), complete lack of sense what is supposed to be a 'right way to play' - those were all part of my experience. But all that mattered to me was getting lost in that huge world.

Always enjoyed playing support classes. Priest was my main for a long time, up until I switched to Shaman some time around MoP. I'll always tend to pick any class that can heal, buff or just bring utility. Been playing on Argent Dawn since the first day, and mostly Alliance. I never actually had a max level Horde character lol (but I do intend to change that with Classic).

So yeah, that was basically more than a decade old love & hate relationship with WoW, as it grew into what it is today. I always kept returning with most expansions, but that feeling for freedom and community grew weaker with time. Until now!

I've come back to play Classic WoW after just before TBC. I played on Silvermoon EU in a guild called Well of Wisdom, even remember a few guild members from back then - Ilcoron(GM), Tekkel, Laurjs, Ashes, Nicotine, Rozylana, Elnadrion,Tyrek, Xazuki, Patricia. Also remember a few guilds from back then like Inner Sanctum, Minions of Mithril, Cerberus Guard and Wyrd Angels.
Will be playing the same race and class as I did during vanilla - Dwarf paladin.

Started playing back in Vanilla. I was 12 at the time and most guilds who were raiding had age-requirements so I had to fake my age. Curious how my microphone never worked ;-)
Ive tried a few private servers over the years, but never really could commit myself to them because the fear of server being shutdown and all the progress being lost overnight!

Finally Classic is soon to be released, and I cant wait to engulf myself into this beautiful game once again!

I've just stumbled across this forum. The skin looks great. I love that there're no categories or subcategories - reminds me of the forum of an RP guild I was part of in Ultima Online back in the early 2000s where the forum was set up like a notice board; just one long list of posts that got pushed further down by new posts.

I'm psyched for Classic WoW, and am having a blast meticulously planning out the details of my main. Almost everything except a levelling route, because I intend to 100% each zone's quests & lore, and will be playing casually - so levelling fast, speed running, and optimal route taking aren't of interest to me.

I'm not actively playing WoW at the moment, and I'm not in the Beta - I don't want to spoil the 'feel' for me for when it goes live!

Found this forum today! Great design, got me even more excited for the community part of classic! For my profile I am a little unsure what will be my main etc still. But I am strongly considering prot warr, but also have a huge hard on for PVP, so considering the main stream classes such as mage and rogue. On retail I've spent most expansions as a warlock, and if TBC gets announced im most likely going straight back to it. For classic, I am not that convinced to play lock. So I got several classes to try out!

Really looking forward to getting to know you guys, and classic aswell!

Started playing back in vanilla with my dad and my brother and managed to hit 60 just a few weeks before TBC came out. After that my interest in the game declined more and more, relogging now and then until finally uninstalling WoW altogether.

Found out just a few days ago that Classic is being released and after scouring the web for info I stumbled upon this forum!

I’d love to be a part of this community while going back and replaying all the good times, and hopefully making new friends all over again!

Also, have someone seen Mankirks wife?

well, i started in early TBC as an undead priest (named Threkuul!). did some raid healing. made a lot of friends. made a lot of mistakes. basically, did the whole "teenager" thing to a T. after that, i've been very off and on with WoW over the years. i switched my main to a blood elf pally tank named Kyrridas, who has been my main to this day (Threk still lives as a TBC time capsule). ive played every expansion, save for WoD, when it was current, but usually as a casual. did a lot of raid tanking in cata but that was about the last time i was ever serious about the game.

about two years ago-ish...cant remember exactly...i started playing on the Elysium private vanilla server (and then later, on Lights Hope for a bit), maining as a Nelf warrior tank named Saleth. got to raid MC, Ony, and ZG...until official classic got announced and suddenly the fan server became totally pointless. i think the devs even said they would shut down their server for good if classic came out and was an honest representation of vanilla, which it seems to be.

which brings us to now. i've bounced off of so many MMOs over the years, both before and since WoW. nothing has ever really held me the way vanilla did (okay, so i started in BC...but i had to level through the vanilla content first...so it sort of counts). i'm fully expecting to be playing this for years to come. i'm excited to get raiding again, and i'm a total alt-oholic. i'm planning to focus on a resto druid and a rogue first, then go from there.

I played the open beta and played all through vanilla on Frostwolf and Lightninghoof. I've played retail at least up to the level cap in every expansion so far, but I started taking lengthy breaks during Cata.

In vanilla, I mained a tauren warrior, and raided in all the content (including Naxx, but we never killed any bosses). I also had a tauren druid that was my first 60.

Don't think i remember you specifically, but i was on Zeth'kur! were you around for the big party in IF before the server shutdown for the merge? the lag was insaaaaaaane. then we all went to Hyjal with that GM. ive still got a few screenshots of those final moments. good times. you might have known me as Saleth, a Nelf warrior tank. i was in the guild Zerg or Die around the time of zeth'kur

I've been playing WoW since BC, but used to play quite a lot on classic servers. First character was a Nelf Druid, but looking at making a Priest/Shaman for some end-gaming healing :)

I have been playing WoW since 2005 took a year off in 2015 for Elder Scrolls. I am like a little kid again. I was talking to a few of my old friends that don't play wow anymore and we laughed our asses off with old memories, so looking forward to playing Classic and I am glad i found this forum!

That’s pretty cool my man! Had a few ally alts on Silvermoon, maybe I saw you in Stormwind sometime? I can’t really place your name but I remember Felcore from somewhere, I think.. I mained Horde on Bloodscalp EU, but I’m pretty sure I had a paladin on Silvermoon named Gabbski. Not very high lvl maybe 30ish, so I might not remember the right server. But it did ring some bell...

Greetings. Former Vanilla player checking in. Looking to complete some unfinished business with C’thun and Naxx that my guild never finished due to TBC by the time we got that far. Quit playing a week in to Cataclysm as it just felt shallow so ready to take back up the reigns.
