Intro
World of Warcraft is a large game with thousands of items and spells, keeping track of the relevant ones can be daunting and forgetting some is the only obstacle between you and becoming a great shaman tank. I suggest installing an addon or my Weakaura Plugin, that tracks present buffs and missing buffs. This guide assumes the previously mentioned tools are being used. If you have aspirations of raid tanking, get acquainted with Stratholme Undead for Wail of the Banshee, really good tanks try the secret Wail tech.
Your name will help others remember and attribute your accomplishments more easily. Familiarity/recognition is key as it will help you get into groups quicker. To be more specific, your secondary name should be in some form associated to tanking ex: ShamanTank. Race

Your threat is within your control but your survival to some lesser extent is outside of your control, especially with a pug healer.
Endurance scales with the abundance of stamina needed to solve mitigation problems.
Stoneform is similar but only mitigates physical damage and requires constant attention for optimal usage.

Threat
Dungeons are all about pulling a lot of mobs and fast. Therefore, the priority is to capitalize on AoE threat, for ex: https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=89 ... immolation, https://www.wowhead.com/forever/item=11 ... stal-spire, etc...
Also the threat of others is lessened with https://www.wowhead.com/forever/spell=1 ... -salvation.

Earth's Grasp will aggro and tank the mob(s) you haven't produce threat on yet.
Imp.Lightning Shield further increases our threat on a random mob.
Call of Flame improves the damage of Fire Nova, our main way to deal AoE threat.
Elemental Focus aids in mana conservation since each instance of damage caused by Fire Nova can proc it.
Elemental Reach helps our Flame Shock pull and run tactic as we head to the next mob pack. Larger Fire Novas means more consistency in damaging ranged mobs.

The rotation is simple and should stay simple for the purpose of energy conservation as we deal with the tribulations that comes with a Pug.
1. Pull: Flame Shock and Lightning Shield.
2. Run to next pack while spamming: Call of Elements and Fire Nova.
3. Decent amount of mobs gathered: Call of Elements, Fire Nova, Oil of Immolation. (see macro)
4. Constantly cast: Fire Nova.
Have the energy to spare? if so, Caustic Smog Potion Gear+Enchants

The ideal group to form/join and classes to look out for: Discipline Priest, Balance Druid, Retribution Paladin and Fury Warrior.

- ArkInventory, bag addon to categorize items.
- Scrap, assign certain items to be auto vendored, includes quest items and items with no sell price.
- Prat, chat addon. IMPORTANT: check mark the feature "Disable Flash for Whisper".
- Elvui, overhauls your UI. I suggest installing my profile.
- Annoying Popup Remover. Removes the distracting red text above your head ex: not enough mana.
- Cell, unit frame addon. I suggest installing my minimalistic profile.
- LeatrixPlus, quality of life features.
- LeatrixMaps, sizeable map. Useless while in dungeon but useful when out in the open.
- PlainAutoMail, mail addon. Assign certain items to be auto sent to your second toon nearby the AH.
