Is anyone else extremely excited about the new visuals of WoW Forever? I saw the rendering and how they plan to change the zones, and I have to say I am really freaking hyped!
- Finally, we get to see a creepy Dustwallow Marsh, no more foggy clutter! I can't wait to see the changes to Raven Hill Cemetery.
- Look how good those look!
I feel like some of the unit models are a bit too retail even with the SD toggle. But the zone visuals are great, agreed.
I'm also loving all the concept art/loading screens stuff.
I LOVE the way the engine/lighting looks with all the zones now! Just the atmosphere on Darkshore alone now looks how it was intended especially with the fog and light burning through it! I can’t wait to get into this version of Azeroth.

I thought I would be opposed to it, but after watching the panels I’m quite excited!
The main reason is that the zones look how I remember vanilla looking 20 years ago. Nowadays as a jaded old(we) guy I just learned to appreciate classic graphics as is, but Forever is like Nostalgia+
Looks incredible, though I'm not sure I like that there's high-quality fog literally everywhere while running around. Hopefully it's something we can tune
Most likely you'll be able to fine-tune your graphics, but not sure to what extent yet.
I'm hoping to see more if they have new rain effects, as those were always great in Classic. But in the meantime, I'm digging the weather effects. Loch Modan looks fantastic. And seeing it go from a foggy drizzle to bright and sunny was quite impressive. Mind you, these shots undersell the actual visuals in motion, but they still can give you a decent idea of how the zone transforms.
