I know it changes a bit of the classic experience, but the "real" classic experience is, to me, what you make of it, and I'd like to tweak it a bit.
And I've had an itch to throw up some custom loading screens with some WC3 stills I like but I can't for the life of me figure it out.
Does anyone know of any addons like this or would be interested in helping a brother out by throwing something together?

I'm not sure this is possible with an addon. According to some blizzard forum post I found from a "Blizzard technical support MVP", the LUA API isn't active when the loading screens are up so this is not something that can be modified with an addon. The closest you'd be able to do would be to throw up a huge frame that blocks your screen with an arbitrary image... but... after the loading screen finished and the game returns you to the screen. Which wouldn't be a loading page at that point, it would just be a big panel blocking your view once the loading was done.

That last line about the EULA is referring to if you decided to go around an addon and modify your game files. Basically you can't do this with an addon, which would have been okay, so the only other option is to modify your game client which is against Blizz EULA.Bluspacecow wrote:The Lua API isn't actually active when the loading screen starts.
So even if it could you would still have the default loading screen there until it loads the Lua API system.
But that's irrelevant as it's not something an addon can alter. All a Lua addon can do is present a large , screen spamming frame with a loading screen in it ...... after the game has finished loading and your toon & UI comes up.
It's also against the ToU / EULA to alter.
Neat idea but doesn't seem feasible.
