Before calling it quits and turning in for the night to (unfortunately) go to work the next day, I made some damn good progress for a 4 hour play session.
I got to level 12, got bearform, picked up my professions, leveled them up a little bit, got to barrens and logged out.
Pulling my hair out at work thinking about questing in the barrens.
How did your guys first day go?

Didnt even get in...sucks for people who only have 2 hours to play at night when the queue is over 2 hours...I know its launch day but after 15 years you figured they could get it right

level 10.5, 21 mining skill, had a ton of fun, but lost a bunch of time to lag/server issues. All in all, pretty much what I expected.
Had work in the morning so couldn't try last night.
Reading all of the posts about queues I doubt I'll even try and log in until next week.

I got to lvl 11, got all the practical stuff sorted - enjoyed the journey and found the start incredibly smooth when i got in (at 2am CEST).
I went to sleep at 6am, woke up at 10am, and have been in queue for about 6 hours now.. less smooth

Just got to level 6, i'm in echos isles. I'm thinking to get skinning to seize the opportunity since i will be there.

Damn that's rough... I'm really hoping queue times will disappear in the coming days.

Well its pretty okay, I have work stuff that I needed to sort, so I can do a briefing for a few hundred people on the 5th, so it kinda helps

Level 4 and couldn't do the waiting for mobs. Logged and just played an hour and now they're doing maintenance.
Chablo - Undead Mage - US Sulfuras

Level 11 on the druid. 50 skinning, 30 herb. Got bear form, am doing a couple more quests in Auberdine then I'm heading west to hang out with the humans.

Level 12 in 11 hours. I realize that's slow by some of your standards, but I also succeeded in starting up my guild. That took a while.

I haven’t even logged in yet, got to finish patching this site first

Logged into Smolderweb to dodge the Whitemane queue and all of the mobs were dead so I ran to the Undercity to just chill there for a bit. Hopefully I'll make some leveling progress on Whitemane today.

I logged on an hour prior so I got a 2500+ que. When I joined world there was many people. I got to lvl 9 before I had to go to bed :/

No original unarmored epic mounts

I have managed to get to level 9 before servers vent off, then I also vent to sleep, today already for 7h+ I'm in the queue. And still waiting to get into a game :) Cheers!
p.s I hate leveling hunter till I get the pet hehe

My suspicion is that Blizzard is still filled with the "you think you do, but you don't" mentality and fully expected the launch to be smaller, and still fully expect classic servers to implode after a couple of weeks. If they had taken Classic seriously this wouldn't have happened.

Not much. It was late here, I was working on something, and I was sleepy. I logged in, spent most of my time waiting in different realm queues and checking my place in queues once in a while, and created some characters in new (and cooler sounding) PvP realms. At some point, some of the crowded PvP realms crashed or something and I laughed, I guess Blizzard still underestimates the demand like they did in Vanilla. Then I returned to my actual realm (Zandalar Tribe RP-PvP), thought myself how it was a good choice since it had much shorter queues, logged on to my character, and just stood there with other people in Shadowglen for like 10 minutes before I left. Many people were just standing just like me, maybe they did not have any intention to actually play at that moment, they just wanted to be a part of this historic day?

I leveled the same character to level 6 twice on two different servers
Was pretty funny to see that the boats and zeppelins were broken on half the servers last night.

Nice man, you're definitely ahead of the pack. How many hows did that take? You running solo or were you part of a group?
