As always I am thinking way in advance with my class choice.
Up to the point that I am switching choices constantly because of Classic videos on youtube.
This will usually get me struggling to choose 2 or 3 classes.
This time they are:
Hunter, Shaman and Druid.
I am 100% sure I want to role a Tauren.

First I wanted the shaman, but I`m afraid the leveling will get boring too quickly. I had a 60 shaman on a private server and eventhou I liked playing it. After 3 weeks at 60 I started leveling another character. I do not remember if it was because of boredom or something else.

Then I came to Hunter. I mained a hunter in tbc and it has always been my go too class. And the only class I feel I know a lot about. I can handle all classes but can truly play a hunter. The big downside is that I am afraid it will be hard to find a group while leveling for the dungeons because I cannot heal or tank.

Last I came to Druid. They can do all roles, presumably. I have never played one beyond level 30 or so. And that was in TBC. The biggest plus is being able to do all roles (or learn to do them) and group invites will be easy. But alas I do not know if I actually like the class.

My raiding will be minimal because I just don`t have the time. I am planning on leveling 1 character and doing dungeons, pvp and some grinding with it.

Do any of you have any arguments that I see as a plus or as a negative to negate that and make my choice easier?

I would say level a Hunter to 60, then once you get "BiS" phase 1.
Make a druid and have fun with it. You'll have plenty of time on phase 1 to level at least more than one class. Stock a lot of mats for phase 2, and do a hell lot of WPvP.

Watch some youtube videos on leeway and that will eliminate tauren hunter very quickly.

Since the poll is 60%+ hunter. What do you guys think about my main downside? Finding groups to do dungeons. Is that something I should worry about. Or do you think there will be plenty of heals and tanks to go around for dps to not have a hard time

You're on a mega server. There will be no shortage of opportunity. However, because there are SO many people looking for groups, we may see less tolerance for meme specs as there are so many people looking for groups, people wont be incentivized to take a meme.

@Stfuppercut Would you consider a beastmaster hunter a meme class/spec even if it is a Tauren. The Leeway 'problem' doenst really affect pve does it? It seems to me a problem for pvp.

Hunters are fun to play. But a Tauren hunter don't seems good at all for me. Maybe a druid?

Yes, even mobs are affected by leeway. And with taurens massive hitbox and the current issues with hunter auto shot delay, even kiting NPC's will feel awful.

I penciled in Druid, although you should be warned it's a whole lot different from TBC. Unlike the other classes you'll have minimal burst damage but otherwise it'll fill all three roles you're aiming at pretty well. Bear tanks are very desirable for dungeons, your solo farm will be worse than a hunter or mage but decent enough, and in PvP you're a third-rate pocket healer but an excellent flag runner/ninja capper. If being flexible and filling odd niches sounds good you'll be happy with it.

In world pvp you'll kill pretty much anyone but it might take a while

It is funny, I changed the poll to state it will be a tauren and the votes shifted from hunter 60% to 28% and druid at the top with 40%.

Shaman is officially of the board for me. I think I might take a gamble and go druid. I know Hunter wont dissapoint, even a tauren hunter.
But maybe the druid will give me a better feeling for Classic. As I know next to nothing about them. And hunter would be more like. "A yeah, that is what they were like."

Is everyone seriously voting shaman now XD
