In an interview in China, a Blizzard executive producer confirmed there will be 8 realms for China with all 4 types available, including RP-PvP.

Take it with a grain of salt what they have planned for NA/EU, but it would seem rather foolish to piss off your other regions by doing this only for one.


Fun additional thing, right before this question he openly says "tell us what you want next -- Burning Crusade, Lich King?". I find it extremely weird how open he's being to the Chinese market when I feel like for 2 years we've been eating the crumbs off Blizzard's table hoping for a real taste of the Classic discussion, yet they just open up to them with their ideas and considerations for the future. Quite odd.

I guess this can confirm that it will be the same for NA/EU.

I do believe Blizzard has a bigger eye for China, because they have most likely noticed that's where most of their numbers are from.

But about the question for Burning Crusade/Lich King, I do feel like Blizzard has thrown out the question here for us too, many times, this is not a special treatment for China. Since they did *finally* open up about Classic for us, I only believe it's right for them to continue being open to China too.

Though I would have appreciated to have a confirmation about RP-PvP (even if I won't roll on one) before we get it in a video like this which might not be what majority of NA/EU players will find/look at.

Sadly, nothing that is official. It's all guesstimate from different unofficial sources.

I think I will roll with the European one.

Since I've played WoW every other way, I think I'd like to try this. Would be mighty thankful if someone who is experienced could PM me :)

Well the main difference is that there is an enforced rule to stay "in Character" when you interact openly with others and use a style of communication which is plausible for the role you play within the world you play it in.

And for the second part: Role Players dont want to be limited to PvE servers. There are quite a few who enjoy world PvP.

Looks like you many of you won't be escaping me afterall.
