I don't wanna play with big streamers, I want as close to the authentic WoW experience as I can get. Which server is best for this?
I'm gonna be playing on a PvP server.

Ah, I see - thank you for this! Do we know when to expect the list being released? Will it not be the same as it was in 2004?

this site might be useful (in the future) to avoid streamer servers. found it on reddit.

tbh. you can not say what the best server will be. Besides, it's different for everyone. And in the end you can't know if you landed on a server where you might be a big streamer because you can't see everything before.
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!

honestly, i think this sentiment of "avoid the streamers" is misguided, what are they gonna do ?! if they mass grief then blizzard will take action as they're disrupting gameplay, but they run events, and its entirely your choice to entirely ignore them and not interact with them , and you'll be sure they won't even notice you.
the pvp stuff they organized in the beta was actually fun, and i watched them, i'd love to even participate if and when they make one in eu, but i haven't seen any major downside to it. besides, they're a phase, their hype train will die out once everyone gets a load of the sour and slow experience of classic.
on the other hand i noticed most streamers, especially the famous ones are in the US, so just play on eu ;p
Can you give me server list too? I will play PvP too, so PvP server list will do just fine. Thanks!

@zutch
I wouldn't mind on Retail as the community is already shattered, but I could see these personal issues I have with them on a classic server:
1. The factions will be lopsided in their favor, hence, forget any fun in World PvP on both sides.
2. Progression will be hindered in their favor, think about world bosses, gear being funneled toward them.
3. But most importantly, I believe the community of big streamers is really obnoxious and wouldn't want to deal with the Twitch culture.
You will always be interacting with them, its not the streamers themselves, you see, its their community.
Edit: Here's a video about it that I found to highlight the main issues with twitch-driven servers.

This site is awesome, but still leaves me with a big question.Biomasse wrote: ↑5 years agohttps://www.avoidstreamers.com/

Are the streamers going PVE or PVP? I'm hoping most of them will be playing on PVP servers & then I will be safe on a PVE one. Any thoughts?

I think most of the big streamers will be playing on NA realms so it could be better on EU realms.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks very much!Biomasse wrote: ↑5 years agohttps://www.avoidstreamers.com/

I like how you say its misguided to want to avoid streamers, then go on to give several legitimate reasons for wanting to avoid streamers.zutch wrote: ↑5 years agohonestly, i think this sentiment of "avoid the streamers" is misguided, what are they gonna do ?! if they mass grief then blizzard will take action as they're disrupting gameplay, but they run events, and its entirely your choice to entirely ignore them and not interact with them , and you'll be sure they won't even notice you.
Critical thinking isn't your strong suit, huh?

Most of the big streamers like Lirik, Forsen and others will quit the game in a week, so the only people that matter are those who stream only WoW.

exactly, i discovered this streamer called MadSeasonShaw, he's the quietest, calmest streamer, and makes really useful videos on youtube, he had around 500~2000 viewers during the beta, no one followed him ingame like a cult, no one sent him stuff, literally none. and this applies to ALLOT of streamers like Cdew, and many others, the only exception is Esfand and Asmongold which have a huge following, but they attract very childish bunch.
am against blanket labels on people, and always try to give them benefit of the doubt, because what separates me from a streamer that people just automatically hate on is literally pressing "Start Streaming" on OBS.

MadSeasonsShow makes good youtube videos. I can't imagine him having a huge group of players following him around being obnoxious.
But I wouldn't want to be on a server with one of the larger and more irritating streamers. I'm switching servers if I see 'INVITE TO ASMONLAYER' being flooded in world chat by 50 people like that screenshot from the beta.

yes i agree, but you're saying 50 people, when there were thousands of players in that area during the stress test for example, they're a low percentage.Pippina wrote: ↑5 years agoMadSeasonsShow makes good youtube videos. Uugh, that was painful to watch.
Anyway, I'd hope some streamers go up against each other so that the faction balance is even. Although, I'm not sure that would bring out the best in people

People who play just to get in their screens will quit the game at the same time when the streamer does.

RP/RPPVP servers might be a safe bet maybe, if you don't mind the fact that it's a RP server that is...
