Hey all i have been reading and going backwards and forwards over the same question for weeks and i was hoping i could get some other peoples opinions.
So my situation is this i am going to be playing with as far as i know;
Warrior, Warlock and Hunter + me the person that will be on the most is the warlock then hopefully the warrior i am torn between
Druid/Shaman/Priest and this is my reasons.
The most fun i have had in this game and ive played since vanilla is healing my friend on his warrior and watching him Shrek stuff i want this again but times have changed and we dont have the same time we had before, so i still want to be able to do this when he is around but i also want to be fine when he isnt ad to be able to have good fun with my other friends i love synergy and playing what works well together to unleash the most out of my friends. for this reason these are my pros and cons for each
Druid Pros
Very good at not Dying
Amazing Escape
Amazing Mobility
Druid Cons/concerns
This isnt BC i loved my druid in BC
Not Great at anything
Synergy with Warrior
Solo ability with out having to respec
Priest Pros
Magic dispels for dispelling the warrior cc's
Utility
Shadow is sick solo
Priest Cons
Dont really want to respec all the time
See my self going bankrupt switching builds
Squishy as healer
not great in open world healing
Shaman
Pros
Ele Resto 30/0/21 Solo and group viable even pve to some extent no respecs
Utility
WF totem for friend
Cons
Enhance nerfed hard by 1.12
still quite squishy
Warrior sat in CC while i die
I want to be fine solo and when with my friends let them WTFBBQ people Shaman/warrior with WF totem is so appealing, and i would definitely be 30/0/21 almost all the time but in PVP is this gonna be any good or will the warrior be useless without dispels?
Priest my interest lies on playing it in tri-spec so i can still be a pain in the arse solo (silence, mindflay, mana burn and holy nova) though i can find much about this spec and its viability? I know PI and Shadow is great but respecs scare me.
And druid im open sell it to me tell me im wrong and show me a hybrid build they can do like the 2 above?
Thanks anyone who can help this is racking my brain so bad atm -__-

You want to be a great team player within an already established team of different classes, and at the same time shrek people as a solo player, and meet lots of different goals...
Why not just pick the one none of your friends are playing and enjoy that class’ particular strengths to their maximum, and enjoy the game to its fullest?
At this point with so many of you - any class choice will be a huge boost to the team and pretty much any class can excel when played well on solo level.

After everything you said, it seems like you want to play shaman.
Good heals, can drop WF totem for your melee.friends to kill stuff, and you can go ele resto and have strong burst. They are monsters in pvp and very strong with totems for pve as well.
Im really am not the sort of player i know full well i cant have everything at once and i didnt say i want to shrek stuff i said i want to enable my friends to shrek stuff i just dont want to be gimped solo without respecing thats all :) but thanks for responding anywayteebling wrote: ↑5 years agoYou want to be a great team player within an already established team of different classes, and at the same time shrek people as a solo player, and meet lots of different goals...

tldr Im maining healer just dont know how reliable my friend will be so want to be ok when there not around.
Yea id say this is pretty much where i am at atm just kept getting put off by threads saying warrior is useless with out priest magic dispel etc and i know shadow weaving helps the lock. but thanks for the answer! atm id say im 60% shaman ,35% priest ,5% druid

then just play whatever healer class you prefer, but obviously invest your talents in a leveling build, healing as shadow spec while leveling is totally fine in classic, or healing as ele.
am planning to level a priest, and i'll be healer to my friends while we lvl but i'll probably no life the game and can't rely on them to level ,so i'll spec into shadow ! and do 2 roles while leveling.
if you actually think about it, having Spirit tap specced while dungeon leveling is OP imho, if ur party lets u get the killing blow and refresh spirit tap every few kills you'll be a more efficient healer than any other spec !
EDIT: i don't know if you watched streamers during the beta, i did, and i watched Esfand allot, and i was surprised how well he healed for a ret, especially while teamed up with a warrior, they'd pull 3 mobs and survive ! because Esfand would toss a holy light every now and then.
Yea and on reddit i did it anyway having read everyone's opinions i think the most interesting thing i've found and what i'm prob going to now do is what was said here; https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t ... rotherhood
id read a lot about and experienced first hand undead priests but i had never even considered troll i think this sound awesome and will hopefully help with getting ganked etc so i'm going to aim for eventually Trispec - troll priest thanks to everyone for there help and opinions. :)
