Basically is there any one class or spec or race that you despise?
It could be a class/spec/race you will never play (because of their appearance or abilities or etc) or just hate fighting in pvp or playing along side them in raids.
I'm a wow raciest, I hate humans, I love looking at gnomes, dwarfs and night elves on the alliance side!
PS - I hate fighting against Shamans but love playing with them!

Gnomes with noggenfogger shrinkage require some serious Zen-like focus to click on especially when they're warriors. Tab targeting isn't always ideal.
As a Tauren player it felt like a real injustice.

Gnomes hiding in the bushes lol

I hate any meme spec played by a casual user that serves to interfere with my own success. From my experience, the bottom rung of players are often drawn to meme specs because they aren't very competitive people. These same people don't put in anywhere NEAR the effort that they would need to in order to become effective. Walking into a WSG BG only to see your team has 2 ret paladins is almost always a guaranteed loss. I cant stand people who are "Feral DPS" exclusively and never shift to bear to tank. These same people usually outline theorycrafting articles or a specific outlier that has made the spec work, yet they don't put in anywhere near the time that it would take to replicate that individuals success. They usually have a chip on their shoulder against players or guilds who dismiss them, disregarding the fact that when you are on a team, you should contribute equally to that team. Instead they demand acceptance and opportunity without providing any value.
I love meme specs played by competent users who play their toon to support the team or raid. Players who understand that they will need to work twice has hard for half of the reward. Some of these meme specs can provide infinite value. They can fulfill a role that no one else can fill if they can identify their own short-comings, but most never do.
My list includes:
Boomkin druids in PvE
Enhance shamans in PvE without nightfall
Ele shamans in PvE progression guilds
Ret paladins who refuse to use their utility and instead try to compete with the actual DPS players
Feral druids who dont tank
Melee hunters who dont wield a nightfall
Prot paladins who havent invested the time to get the appropriate gear to make the spec work

i absolutely goddamn hate dwarves. cant stand them. so ugly. yuck. don't mind any of the other races really but just ugh dwarves. crusty little things. humans are pretty bland and boring too but i feel that way about most fantasy games where there's other cool races to choose from.
to contrast that, im thirsty for night elves. their lore and aesthetic is just great and i love it. pity they're alliance though.
in pvp, hate fighting hunters. unless you gank them at low hp or completely stunlock them, theyll most likely always wreck you so i actively avoid them at all times

I love dwarfs, and my choice in classic will be female dwarf priest or a hunter either female dwarf or female night elf..d3aths wrote: ↑5 years agoi absolutely goddamn hate dwarves. cant stand them. so ugly. yuck. don't mind any of the other races really but just ugh dwarves. crusty little things. humans are pretty bland and boring too but i feel that way about most fantasy games where there's other cool races to choose from.

On topic I hate rogues that are ganking and will do whatever I can to annoy them

The entire hunter class. If it was removed from the game, I wouldn't notice any negative effects. When someone wipes a dungeon run, it always seems to be a hunter unable to work their pet. They friggin roll on everyything. They never seem to know when to use what skills and end up blowing somethign up. They seem to pull in a certain type of player I cant stand personality wise. Almost every experience I have had with hunters have been negative and I feel the insults 'huntard' and 'every weapon is a hunter weapon' has been well earned.
There is a couple of clear exceptions. I have met a few hunters who roll the class specifically for the solo leveling experience, and not end game content running. Also, hunters to are exclusively pvp. I don't roll a lot of pvp, but I have noticed a very large difference between the attitudes and personalities of people who pvp on a hunter and those who pve on a hutner. But then, i hate them because god damb they suck to 1v1, I always lose.

You have never played with a good hunter then, a good hunter makes the life of everyone else easier when grouped for pve.. Can CC, pull, kite, pull aggro of healers, pet can taunt mobs off etc etc..beached wrote: ↑5 years agoThe entire hunter class. If it was removed from the game, I wouldn't notice any negative effects. Basically, we shall see is retail is any different. All my buddies have the same opinion as me, but then again, we all play together and have had a lot of the same experiences. So, maybe I'm just unlucky? Im skepticalShamelessEU wrote: ↑5 years agoYou have never played with a good hunter then, a good hunter makes the life of everyone else easier when grouped for pve.. He's right, hunters are king in dungeons and raids, with pulling, cc and kiting!
Plus if you had an amazing hunter, they would feign when wiping and use jumper cables to rez!!

Yeah I would also assume that the large majority of hunters in the beginning of Classic will not be very good, either not used to playing vanilla or simply not used to playing hunter.. But that should not discourage you from playing with good hunters / good guildiesbeached wrote: ↑5 years agoBasically, we shall see is retail is any different. Most of the things like this I felt have faded over the 15 years since release, but I used to HATE gnomes for the longest time. And I raided with a guild that had a gnome MT and it drove me up the walls with misplaced rage. It drove me nuts that someone the size of a tauren turd could tank fucking Ragnaros.

As a Priest I hate Hemo Rogues....so annoying to play vs Hemo...no fun at all!
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!

So misguided. An echoed statement that we hear all the time but that entirely misses the mark... SO much more ironic coming from someone who plays a druid.beached wrote: ↑5 years agoThe entire hunter class. If it was removed from the game, I wouldn't notice any negative effects. Why do hunters seem bad? Because they were highly populated and the lowest tier of player could play on a hunter effectively. Hunters are so incredibly good, that a terrible player can play as one, without their pet and net more damage by auto attacking than most other classes during phase 1. Can a hunter wipe your run? Sure. But I've grouped with a ton of bad warlocks that pet pull, shamans that leave their totems behind and aggro, etc etc etc... Bad players will always be bad. The hunter allows a good player to shine and prevents a bad player from being completely useless. Even terrible players can net decent throughput on a hunter... Good hunters can carry a dungeon run, in some cases they can even tank WHILE CCing, WHILE topping dps, WHILE kiting if they need to.
Hunters = best levelers, best dps in pre bis dungeons, tier 1 and place high in progression during tier 2. Of 9 classes that can all DPS, hunters are the best for 2/3rds of the game.
Best pvp class from level 10-59 during leveling. (untrue when players are min/maxing as twinks.)
High value pvp class at 60. Most premade teams will have 1-2 for viper stings, flag defense in AB and flag assist in WSG.
During tier 3 progression, you will still need a few and they have the highest nightfall uptime.
The most independent class in the game. Can solo most group quests while leveling and can competently tank (better than a warrior due to TPS) from levels ~15-45.
Insanely competent player that seeks to maximize his throughput and provide infinite value? Hunter is probably right for you.
Frumpy idiot that can only manage to auto attack but still wants to contribute to your team? Hunter is probably right for you.

There are plenty of friendly hunters on this very forum. Comparing them all to me a is VERY broad generalization... Besides, I'm one of a kind. FWIW the huntard issue was always so much worse on Alliance for me... night elves seem to attract a certain kind of arrogance.
*cough* weebs *cough cough*

It comes with the territory. When you are so valuable that you dont need anyone else from 1-60, people arent as valuable to you. I think its actually great for immersion! The tank is the glue, these players are great communicators. They are the MOST dependent class in the game, but they also bring people together. Etc etc etc. When you dont need anyone as a hunter, no one else is valuable to you, until you need them for pre BiS farming.
