I just played the classic stress test. I had played for just under 2 hours. I was Level 5 and just gotten to Razor Hill and handed in a few of the quests.
At this point I have 1 gold and 42 silver.... This was just from quests and selling trash. Some of the quests where giving me 45 silver each (0)-(0)

At level five you should not have this much money. Going at that rate I could buy each and every single skill I could plus my level 40 mount actually at 40.
Which is not what it should be. This will over inflate the economy making some of the very impactful things such as the 40 and 60 mounts, respec costs and gear repairs closer to redundant it the case of gold impact.

Please fix this!!! :D <3

Skill cost around 1 cold at 30 and most of the Streamers run out of gold fast (the normal playing one) so i would say it is fine.

At level 5? Get some screenshots, that sounds absurdly incorrect. I remember recently on a Pserver being super stoked that RFC quests were giving 20s!

Good idea I will check next time its up.

At the early levels each skills like 1s and as I said by level 5 I had well over a 1g.

This is what makes me questions a 45s quest reward at level 5.

Stress test is not accurate at level 5... You gain no xp after level 5 so the reward is instead in a larger amount of silver / gold :)

I do not know wether or not it will be like that at level 60 when your xp is set off, but it is clearly the case in the stress test for lvl 5 characters

I think it was the one where you need to kill Kul Tiran marines. And then the Admirals orders from the chest that you open with the key you get from the boss.

There were lvl 5 characters with more than 10 gold, you could go to different starting zones and do quests all given you 20 - 40s each

I don't know how they programmed it, but you may be on to something...

Quest Experience for Gold at Level 60 Edit

Previously, quest experience was wasted if one completed a quest at level 60. In this patch, any quests done at maximum level will have their experience reward converted to a healthy amount of gold, thus adding additional incentive to completing those quests in your log once you hit 60.
https://wowwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Patch_1.10.0

I believe the conversion was something like 5g per 8000 experience points? So, 0.000625g per exp. So, perhaps because the level is limited to level 5, you are considered max level (60) and receive the bonus gold.

Kind of on topic but in the beta I have been extremely prudent.

I have only spent gold on ammunition, profession recipes for cooking, first aid, herbalism and alchemy, and only the most absolutely necessary skills (no rankups either).

No bags, no vendor weapons or items at all, only one or two accidental buybacks. I have managed my backpack-only bag space very carefully and looted every single mob.

My balance at level 12?

20 copper.

I think it’s just fine boys.

Yeah I've done the leveling jaunt to razor hill a few times in the past week and don't have anywhere near that amount of gold. I've only bought one 5s bag.

I heard its just because your extra exp translates into money rewards when you hit max level, which in the stress test was lvl 5. It's fine.

Upon reaching cap (normally L60) you trade in exp for gold when completing a quest. This system has no scaling down because the only cap was level 60, what's the need to having it on a scaling system? In the beta you are capped at a level that the game isn't made to be capped as therefore you get massive currency returns upon handing in quests.

It's absolutely nothing to be worried about
