Greetings,

So I been getting my self in the mindset for Classic and I just want to Share the two links to stuff that I use when I play. It might help someone.

First on the List is
https://legacy-wow.com/
This page has guides for Leveling, Class, Profession and also a Talent Calculator and Addon Page. With latter level content as well like a Boss guide.

The second One is use is
http://www.wowclassicbis.com/
This will Tell you what is best in slot just by a few simple clicks. First click what raid or pre raid, then class, then Spec and finally Faction. Sometimes gear differs per faction like on the Warlock.

If anyone else got more links Lmk.

I haven't been practicing so much as I've been making sure I know what class / race I want to main.

would not call it practicing, more like refreshing the memory ;)

Yes, I am re-learning it too on a pserver. The knowledge of the game changed from 'I know what most skills do' (which was amazing back then) to 'you can do this and that to clear MC under 1 hour'.

I kind of like that all information you get stays correct until the servers shut down forever.

Both yes and no, to be honest. I did level a hunter 1-60 on Northdale as a way of just "refreshing the memory" a decade and a half later. Not planning on playing a hunter though, want to level a class in classic I didn't play back then.

Hunter

I used the BlizzCon demo to check out my picks and I am going with a Night Elf Female Hunter. I even recorded all my gameplay from the BlizzCon demo to watch back from time to time.

Hunter because it is easy/relaxing to play and Hunter has been my main for years, and Night Elf because of the animations.

Alliance is just a thing that happens because of the above. Though it certainly is nice that I can do Westfall again. I love that zone!

That said, I do play on Ascension WoW. A classless realm where you can make your own class. Pretty fun to combine stuff from multiple classes. Can make some powerful skill combo's. It's something to do while waiting for WoW.

Hell no. The less I know/remember the better. I want to be efficient in what I am doing, but I wont compromise what I consider an adventure. And practicing clearly would do that.

Definitely agree with you it's kind of a drag seeing all these guides and people learning and playing so much before the game has even launched..

I was raiding as a priest and when we got the summer release confirmed at Blizzcon, while I was still watching the stream I logged in, said glhf to the guild and haven't played since. I want to maximize the hype for myself now that it is so close.

I've been trying out different appearance combinations so I know exactly what to roll on day 1 and minimize the likelihood of regretting my choices. I want the classic experience to be as fresh as possible so I'm refraining from playing the game until it launches.

I leveled a shaman to level twenty something to find the rythm of classic again. And although I loved it, i didn't want to spoil the experience of leveling to max level.

I was playing in the starter zones on Kronos to get a feel for different classes. Now I am on Retro WoW using the target dummies to figure out my rotations & play with max level characters & try out talents. You start at level 60 & get a lot of free pre raid nice gear on there.

This. I already hear them cry about how off their "memory" is from what they are used to from pservers

While I have toyed around on a private server, it was nothing more than just exploring the pre-cata world again. I do plan to level efficiently, but like others, I will be reading the quests and taking my time this time around.

I also plan on leveling with some friends, so I'm sure I will have an alt that I power through.

I have been, and it's made me even more confused as to what I want to play... Unless you're already really good and experienced with the endgame, it just adds a lot of confusion to drop into a level 60 character to try and figure out what you'll like to play at endgame. Especially since leveling is a bit part of the experience as well. Also there's the fact you'll probably never have as good as gear on these instant-60 servers, and with the fact you'll likely never go against people with the same itemization as you.

No... I'm practicing on a private Burning Crusade server :)

And I'm making notes of EVERYTHING. I'm making notes of the real level ranges of each zone. I'm making notes about the best way to powerlevel tailoring, blacksmithing, and cooking (make woolen bags from level 105-115, then red woolen bags from 115-125, then bolts of silk from 125-145, then back to red woolen bags from 145-150...). I have notes on which NPCs give which class-specific quests. I'm jotting down the vendor values of all the quest rewards so I know which ones to pick when none of them are appropriate for my class. I even have a "wow spider legs.txt" file that includes the following section:

fish oil used for shaman water-walking
naga scale 1 tailoring recipe
sharp claw 2 blacksmithing, 1 alchemy recipe
large fang 1 enchanting, 2 leatherworking, 3 blacksmithing
light feather used for "slow fall" and "levitate"
vibrant plume darkmoon faire???
torn bear pelt darkmoon faire???
small venom sac 1 first aid recipe
large venom sac 1 alchemy, 1 first aid, 1 rogue poison
shiny fish scales used for shaman water-breathing
discolored worg heart 1 alchemy recipe
raptor hide 3 leatherworking recipes
deviate scale 3 leatherworking recipes
long tail feather 1 leatherworking recipe
slimy murloc scale 2 leatherworking recipes
perfect deviate scale 2 leatherworking recipes
Notes on everything.

Currently just dueling and hanging out at https://pvp.henhou.se/

It's a fun little custom server made for premade bgs and dueling. Everything is layed out for you, so making a character and getting gear is easy

Surprised to see many are already playing on private servers. Personally, I wanna wait until classic drops. That way the experience is as fresh as possible. The withdrawal is kicking in pretty hard though, so I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a sneak peak

I didn't "forget" anything. I'm still at only level 42 and still making notes.

Yeah, I'm thinking I might suck it up and jump on a vanilla server. I plan on leveling semi-casually anyway, so I may just roll something I know I would never main and just fuck around.

I have nothing fancy to add here, but if you've never played Binary Domain, you should.
