Hi guys, pretty typical question but with a Poll to help collate the information in one easy to read location. This poll is not for your alts or anything like that, this is for your main character that you will be focusing on as we head toward level 60 and beyond.

I myself will *probably* main a warrior, but I have an entire battleplan laid out;
Basically first things first I'll level a bank alt to level 5 (for dat sweet disenchanting).
Then I'll make a hunter, a warlock, and a warrior. I imagine I can reach level 5-10-ish on all of them within a week of launch, even with lag/overpopulation/whathaveyou, and then I hope to level them all concurrently, rotating so I can maximize rested XP. Not that I wish to powergrind them all to 60, but I imagine there be plenty of smelling the roses on the way if I also have professions on all of them.

I'm unsure on faction as of now. I have races planned out for most/all classes, but I don't know who I'll be playing with yet, and that kinda trumps faction. Too altaholic to be diehard one or another.

Probably a Tauren hunter just like I did back in the day and a bit on private servers. What can I say, I like being a part of the monster faction and I still really enjoy the huntsman aspects of hunters such as the traps and I actually enjoy feeding my pet and keeping track of ammo.

Tauren warrior, and then out in the wild, in the journey to become the best armorsmith in the server :-)

Orc or Troll Hunter first as a gold farmer, probably without professions until after 60.
Orc or Undead Rogue as main, leveled with funds from Hunter, Engineering for pvp and unsure on second probably Skinning to fight for Devilsaur skins.

E: I also considered going Mage first as a self sustaining gold farmer and main but I think I’ll be burnt on Mage by launch and the longer route to 60 is a big factor too.

Will probably change my mind about main. Nymis is kind of making me want a lock for World PvP!!

Focus lies on Shaman, and I have always been a fan of the Horde from the old days. There are areas where I prefer Horde aesthetic over Alliance, and Orgrimmar is actually one of them, even above Stormwind.

So Orc Shaman is high up on the list. But with that said, I'm also very interested in Paladin and Priest, specifically Dwarf.

So the final months will most likely be a battle between these three classes.

I'm not sure yet, during vanilla & TBC my main was a mage. After Wotlk I only played warrior until Legion that I started playing a priest and I loved it (both healer and shadow).

The most likely option is a priest, I would love to level up as shadow and stay with that spec in the endgame but I have read that they are not the favorite casters in raid and tend not to invite them to groups. (1 maximum)

Then maybe level up as healer and remain as healer.

I'll most likely level a hPaladin in my spare time to pocket heal a friend!

A healer dwarf priest as main for pve purposes starting with skinning/tailoring --> herbalism/alchemy once I reach 60 and get Truefaith Vestments. Lvl 20 Warlock alt for summoning and a lvl 5 bank alt with enchanting.

Warrior main tanking for my guild :)

I'm stuck in deciding. My vanilla exp is between mage and a alt rogue.

I truely like tanking and stealth so i am leaning towards maining a tauren druid.

I will be playing Human Mage, and my friend that I will level together with will play Human Paladin.
When he is offline I will play a ranger because I never did try it back then.

Mage was always something amazing in those days. Teleports and Portals were something unique for that one class, literally the ability to instantly travel around the whole world using a few spells.

In the current game, teleports and portals are for everyone, and the Mage have lost that unique standing.

Will be great to see it again in Classic, even if I won't be going Mage myself.

Undead is one of the most popular Horde races, so you will see a lot of them. That also ties in with their racial ability being really strong.

Their racial Priest ability is also the best one on Horde side, though it's more of a Shadow ability, rather than healing.

Its a god-send racial. Best one imo.

Thinking of rolling a Survival hunter because no-one else will :) Just to see if I can do something creative and out of the box which surprises people.

Good luck with this! I'm sceptical but nonetheless would be very interested in seeing someone come up with a viable Survival build.

For levelling it could be quite good actually come to think of it... https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=19245 would make immo traps even more OP. And let's not forget far, far up in the Survival tree there is this amazing talent https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=24297.
