That's awesome dude, well done. Interested to see some of the footage!Judgement wrote: ↑5 years agoI got server first 15 on the stress test today on server#15 which was the most populated one. Got a time of 4h41min.
Felt good to beat some hunters, but it was a tight race and I was behind all the way until 14,5~ where my superior questing route won me the race.
Will upload on youtube tomorrow

Tactics wrote: ↑5 years agoHonestly one of my best runs so far, seems like early levels are quite a bit faster then private servers (5 mins or so) the reason to me seems to be because mobs deals way less damage. In starting zone i eat 0 times & later on i barely need to eat either (on private i bought level 5 food for less downtime, here i didn't even buy any food or level first aid, the food u get from quests & mobs seems to be enough.
These private boys out here doing us proud! Show them the meta!

I have not done any testing with Tauren at all but I have seen some really impressive 1-10 times done with them. What are you guys plan after being done in mulgore? How do you go on and how much time do you think you lose traveling compared to other hord races? Are the awesome 1-10 times basically lost on travel time after that?

I've got 15 level 10 druids in the beta currently (PvP and PvE server). 6 of those I have now leveled to 15, and the fastest time I recorded was a bit under 5 hours. Im eu so no stresstest for me this time, but I would like to see how it stacks up against a server thats actually competing for mobs and stuff. I still feel I could shave off a lot of time by just getting used to vanilla mechanics (tick drinking / eating for example).jodon wrote: ↑5 years agoI have not done any testing with Tauren at all but I have seen some really impressive 1-10 times done with them. Just finished playing on the latest stress test. I hit 10 and crafted my own wand in 4 hours.
I'm confident I can get this down to 3 hours fairly easily even being one of the first to login to the server.
I'm happy with the time given the fact I haven't played the game for almost a decade.

Go for that! 4 hours is where its start. You will get under 3 and then 2hours in no timecburmeister wrote: ↑5 years agoJust finished playing on the latest stress test. I hit 10 and crafted my own wand in 4 hours.

Exactly what S1atan said. Solid foundation to start building on :)!

Hey, i'm kinda new to this speedrunning thing, and found out that it is really fun. I've been sitting here on this forum for a week now and read all new records and other stuff. Just tried it out for myself now , been practicing for 2 days. Just had a record with an orc warlock on 1h 47min. And now i just made a run with a orc shaman, and beat the record, 1h 30min.( I died once time at the castle ). Im really happy with it !

Great time!abeauty wrote: ↑5 years agoHey, i'm kinda new to this speedrunning thing, and found out that it is really fun. Seems you were lucky they still haven't fixed hunter pets after 2 monthsJudgement wrote: ↑5 years agoI got server first 15 on the stress test today on server#15 which was the most populated one. Got a time of 4h41min.

Finished my third (and final for now) 1-30 on LB. Managed to get under 20 hours this time so I'm pretty happy with how it went. Don't recall any unintentional deaths and if I had 0 deaths from being ganked throughout, I have a good feeling I could of gotten just below 19 hours.
Time for 30-40 runs now to get a solid grip of that section!
Mages Shamans and Hunters seem to have the fastest times when it comes to 1-10 but a good chunk of it comes from what starting area you are in.Raviente wrote: ↑5 years agoHello which class is the fastest to 1-10 thanks

I think sub 18h is very possible if I find a good grind location around late 20s or perhaps going hillsbrad earlier, right now it slows down a lot between 28-30 for me, right after finishing thousand needles. (ideal-ish circumstances obviously)
I need to look into a grind area around that level perhaps instead. I tried harpies in 1k needles and the centaurs in the north, but there's too few centaurs and surrounding mobs to make it consistently good, and the harpies are actually pretty hard at 28-29 and not giving that great exp/hour, fine money though beause they drop vibrant plumes.

For those who take 1-10 in about 1,5-2hrs, how long do you recon it takes on launch day? There will be a lot more people tagging mobs etc.
I mean getting "ahead" of the normal leveling pack can be quite hard due to the ammount of players. Especially if layering is not working in your favor.

Any tips for leveling a gnome warrior in Elwynn forest? I find myself stranded at level 7-9, not being able to complete the next quests simply because they're too hard (more specifically- "Bounty on murlocs", "Protect the frontier", "Red linen goods"). Any suggestions on strategy? Any good spots to grind my way past this rough patch?

It's hard to predict. If you're ahead of the pack after 30 minutes, you can count on your 'normal' speedrun times. If server issues, layer drama or other (unpredictable) things hold you back, it could be quite a bit longer.Shamanigans wrote: ↑5 years agoFor those who take 1-10 in about 1,5-2hrs, how long do you recon it takes on launch day? For reference I like to use my MoP speedrun. In the MoP beta I ran 85-90 in 7 hours. On launch I got ahead of the pack in the first 60 minutes and got to 90 in 8,5 hours. In WoD I was stuck in the zerg for a while, and managed to get ahead by just playing all night.
Not a single 'perfect' route will be able to predict how launch will go. If you're lucky and are able to get in, while the rest of (in my case) tauren players are in the server queue waiting for a spot, you can get ahead quite fast. But if you're unlucky and are stuck in the queue yourself, there is no predicting how far 'behind' you will be.

Warlock 1-20 & 1-30 Classic Beta
Server: Classic Beta PvE
Orc
Warlock
1-20 in 8:47:48
1-30 in 23:03:58
I feel that I lost 20-30 mins 1-20 and 30-40 mins 20-30 due to deaths, mistakes, and helping another player in Thousand Needles with some quests at 28 while I was in the area (this is a game, after all, gotta help other ppl out).
Sorry I've been quiet. Between beta and IRL, not much time for forums.
