I tested out the 1-5 portion of my FedEx route during the stress test. Will test out the 1-10 next week.
It was pretty congested. During the whole run, I came across about 4 mobs that were able to be tagged (which i didn't for sake of argument that it'll be *more* congested at launch.
Got 1:05 to 5
With these flight points
A friend is doing the gnome version, and also got 1:05 a few times. It's reliable so far and 100% competition proof to 5. He also started collecting data of avg 1-5 level times, and the large majority were 1:30 +
Haha heya John, I was the UD mage (Nz) who ran into you.
My first 1-10 on classic beta was 2hrs 6mins, was a bit distracted playing with interface etc. (I was getting 1hr 43mins on repack).
Seemed to be getting less gold, drops seemed to be about the same.
Hey man. Thanks again for the water. I accidentally sold my low lvl water because on repack I had enough gold to buy plenty of lvl 5 water.Nzed wrote: ↑6 years agoHaha heya John, I was the UD mage (Nz) who ran into you.

From my friends and my experience, bags have a FAR lower drop chance.
I've done a few runs on the beta and there are quite a few difference to the bigger servers. I can safely say at like 5 characters to 20+ in different tests and others to 10 or so, I have not had a single bag drop, and other drops like Dry Scorpid Eye has a lot lower droprate on the level 5-6 scorpions in durotar.
Quest item droprate is lower on some quests in Durotar & Barrens and Stonetalon, however few quests have 100% droprate instead.
On the top of my head quests with lower droprate that is very noticeable in Durotar & Barerns are (and what they feel like so far)
- Solvent Spirit - (not horrible, its just not 80%, more like 40% or so per mob)
- Practical Pray - (~30-40% droprate)
- The Zhevra (Hooves - 20-30% or so, often takes a lot of kills)
- Harpy Raiders & Harpy Lieutenants - (lowish droprate)
- Centaur Bracers
- Angry Scytheclaw (feather drop is somewhat lower) (Intact Raptor Horn are very high on the otherhand)
Quests that have 100% droprate so far is
- Skull Rock (Searing Collars)
- Raptor Heads
- Prowler Claws (Prowlers of the barrens)
Theres other difference for hunter such as pet loyalty, it is very fast to gain loyalty on Beta right now, but generally things take longer to complete, I guess either theres higher armor or higher hp on some mobs, but my best time so far is ~1hour behind my fastest private server 1-20, but I was never great at 1-10. However 1-10 is easier as hunter, mobs are slower than private server so you do get to shoot more before they reach you or you could even indefinently kite a lot of lower level mobs (level 6 or lower or so).
I can get around 1h 50m for 1-10 on beta currently as hunter, thats without doing some mega farming on Kul Tiran npcs or alike, 20-23min out of start zone with level 5. Its when you do Echo Isles it slows down a lot, especially as hunter because the Voodoo Healer mobs have a high chance to heal if you miss 2 attacks or so after their first heal, upside is they dont use lightning shield until they are in melee so you dont take a lot of damage, just takes forever to kill.
It being US server and me from EU loses a bit of time when you accept quests turn in etc and loot, because there is like an additional second or so everytime you do these things, but I play without addons on the beta for auto accepts or so.
- Auto unstuck on the Beta kills you if Hearthstone is on cooldown, its great for death skips all the way up to like level 16 or so that can be abused.

Very good info, hopefully someone can give similar info on Mulgore, I plan to run there from VoT. The bag drop rate you describe feels like accurate Vanilla to me, always seemed so easy to get bags on pservers.

I have a 30 and a few lvl 10s and have literally found 1 6 slot and 1 8 slot off mobs. Extremely low compared to lights hope.
Level 60 4d 2h first attempt tho :D
Think world first is still in could improve alot 3d 13h is totally in.
Just hope to be able to stay awake for over 3d
Any chance you'll stream or record any of your runs? I'm dying to watch some horde side speed runs on the beta. Regardless, thanks for all the info! On Monday around 6pm pst I plan on doing a 1-30 run in 1 sitting on horde, most likely rogue. if you’re interested I’ll be answering any questions about the beta as well and giving my feedback on things from LH vs beta
Back then TBC was released Blizzard and Dreamhack hosted a competition to level to 10 as fast as possible. I love speedrunning and wanted to bring this back to vanilla WoW.
With the announcement of the extra stress test on May 29 I am going to host a small leveling competition that anyone who has a test-invite is welcome to participate in. The max 5 test worked pretty well during the second day and if this works just as well we can bring some content to those of us who don't have 'proper' beta invites.
The servers will again be up past the stress test until 4 p.m. PDT (01:00 CEST) so I'll host it at 21:00 CEST (noon PDT) which will give you some time to practice and enough time to enjoy the ending of the test (rag, thrall in SW is a cool experience and crowded when they collapse the layers).
To make things fair at the start of the competition a naming scheme will be announced. To be eligible to win, create a character within the requested naming scheme, of the announced race, and in case we are are in different layers make sure to grab a screencap with your /played
So:
If you have a Stress Test beta -
May 30th, noon PDT/21:00 CEST
Race will be decided before stress test begins
Wait until naming scheme announced before starting
I'll foot in with a plushie of your choise from the blizz store for the winner, and if anyone else wants to chip something in, feel free. I created a new Discord server where you can keep up to date with the final race and naming choise: https://discord.gg/cEafv2
I hope to see you there!
Edit: Poll for starting zone
Edit2: Poll closed! Dun Morogh won!

Leaderboards updated!
Added Classic Beta section, 1-60 in repack and 1-10 duos in Lightbringer.
Good job. You are the first contestant in Classic Beta section!
Great job, mate! Good for you to test out whole route!

Dunno. I haven't killed anything yet. And will likely only kill about 20-30 mobs in total prior to levle 10.

Going to be starting a 1-30 run in about 45 min if anyone is interested - twitch.tv/kupkhayqe

How efficient is the fedex 1-10 looking?

I am really bad at discord, so I had to make a new linkk that doesn't expire right away: https://discord.gg/tWUG4qDAstroid wrote: ↑6 years agoBack then TBC was released Blizzard and Dreamhack hosted a competition to level to 10 as fast as possible. night elf hunter 1-20 7h,37m
beta
my 2nd run and it was sloppy
can easily cut off 10-20 minutes, probably can reach as low as 7h (depending on other ppl at that time).
even with low drop beta times are very comparable to repack there is still some competition so times here are a bit mroe frustrating since respawns are exceptionally bad. 2 people can farm an entire area of quest mobs pretty easily so it is very much necessary to prio these quests first -- unlike repack core, beta has very fast respawn on named mobs and almost instant object respawns
@ahmp Nice to see a /played similar to what we can get on private. All the streamers are pushing the narrative that everything will be so much slower but I disagree. The respawns can be a problem in some areas but special mob and item respawn being much faster makes up for it most of them time.
I only have stress test but I've leveled a few time to 10 so far and my /playeds are also similar, a little but slower but that's because I have to skip a few good quests and grind instead
JUDGEMENT
