Short term goals:
- Speedlevel mage to 60
- Level Tailoring to 300
- Get all Dungeon & raid keys (for release phase)
- Find new friends while doing above
Mid term goals:
- Level Druid alt to 60 with Mining and Herbalism
- Level Engineering to 300 on my mage
- Start raiding
- Find PvP group that is not too serious so it will be fun vs tooth grinding experience
Long term goals:
- Kill Kel'Thuzad (only boss I did not kill in original vanilla)
Most of all have fun while doing the above and enjoy experience where I could be done with something rather than endless slotmachine approach live WoW has.

I'm going to be hitting the game as hardcore as possible for the first two weeks. I have a full-time job, a house with a never-ending list of projects to do, and a fiancee, so I'll never be able to play as much as I want. However, it is a high priority for me, so I've invested significant time into creating an efficient plan for leveling and farming so that I can get an economic and reputational advantage on my server that I can fall back on for months to come.
I'll be taking two weeks vacation as soon as the release date is announced. I have been practicing speedruns so I can level as quickly as possible. I also have post-60 goals listed out so I can efficiently knock out things I view as a high priority for raid and pvp preparation. This might sound like a lot of work to some people, but I really enjoy planning, practicing, and gaming efficiently, so I'm extremely excited for the journey.
With that said, my launch goals right now are
- Pre-Launch: Find a US guild that has a max 3-day raid schedule for late evenings. Weekend raids only for progression or optional. Needs to be a very knowledgeable and focused guild, but with people who have jobs and RL responsibilities.
- Server first to 60 as horde warlock... hopefully really competitive overall
- Max tailoring and engineering
- Get an epic mount asap
- Grind gold as efficiently as possible to establish economic advantage
- Establish player relations so I can get into some of the earliest pre-raid farming groups
- Clear MC and Ony on week 2
- Sit back, relax, and do whatever I want. Lots of world pvp and farming

I'm hoping this isn't too hard now that we're all a bit older. I just got engaged (like literally on Saturday evening) and will probably start house shopping in the next year. Plus jobs and extra life shit. A casual but consistent raiding guild is exactly what I need.

Yeah honestly, there's a lot of people in the same boat as me. It's probably one of the main demographics for wow classic. I started browsing and saw some pretty interesting guilds already recruiting that match pretty closely to what I'm looking for.
I have never played Binary Domain :).

You should. I could go on and on about it but I'm at work!

I think I'll have to finally create official checklist with most efficient paths to my goals, but in general:
- Get all instance keys as I level (which is really not hard but makes you twofold desirable in groups)
- Buy large bags ASAP as long as I will be able to buy new spell ranks
- Trade a lot on AH using Auctioneer
- Get attunement for all raids
- Find raiding guild with just two raiding evenings a week
- Hopefully progress further than first boss in Naxx unlike in vanilla
It's also possible I burn out on my main and my game will turn into World of Altcraft.
I used to play Warn, human mage on The Maelstrom EU <Ashbringer | Rachell's Angels | Entrophy | Relentless>

Genuinely having fun with WoW again. Even though I still play retail on and off while also understanding the purpose of many changes... It has been a long time since I was actually excited about the game. I am not setting any specific goals to be as flexible as possible and just do what seems fun.

I'm taking a bit of a hybrid approach I think. My main is a nelf Rogue, and PvP is my jam so I'm planning on rushing to 30ish so I can get stuck into Hillsbrad/STV, hopefully spend a bit (or a lot) of time there PvP'ing and gathering up mats in the downtime. Once BG's release, I get bored, or Hillsbrad dies down I'll get back to leveling but this time I'll take my time and explore all the regions that I blew through in Vanilla. Hopefully get a chance to play some or all of the dungeons I missed out on as well.
Once I reach 60, I'll hopefully be able to get back into PvP full time and start the rank grind for sweet sweet titles (and gear). Be great to build a good premade team as well, so I'll have my eye out for PvP guilds once I hit 60.
Always been a goal of mine to be in a successful Orgrimmar raid as well so hopefully that'll happen at some point as well.

Sounds like you should join Kor’kron! @Nymis isynicalx1 wrote: ↑6 years agoOnce I reach 60, I'll hopefully be able to get back into PvP full time and start the rank grind for sweet sweet titles (and gear). After playing ReTLoL in vanilla, this time I’m rolling a Warrior (warlock alt)
I’ll jump on with all my IRL friends and smash it to 60 in the first two weeks. Then I’ll begin the grind for the sulfuron hammer whilst gearing up and stepping back into MC as a tank.
I had the hammer on my paladin but I never got the eye, this time around I’ll get it, and I’ll create the Hammer, the. The final step of my plan comes into force:
Run around smashing people in with it.

Reaching Rank 10 at least, getting full T2 and Sulfuras. After that i aim to clear Naxx, getting the Baron Mount. Those are my goals for the first year ;)
Manofwar
Kampfzwerg
Mojo

Pre-Release: Find a guild, players to play with, what to play (set in stone)
On Release: Got 2 weeks vacation already accepted for release, so I hope to get my 2 chars hopefully to 60, at least close. Then do dungeons, get end-game professions, farm gold etc.
Long term: Clear all content + grind pvp ranks on my mage or rogue.
Longer term: Prep my lock for TBC if that will be announced.

World first Molten Core clear xd.
Wont happen but, Progress hard, r13 later.
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!
Since the news quickly spread, I talked to most of my old RL friends who I played with some 10 years ago. Almost all of them will be returning! Some more hardcore and some more casual, since life moves on and some of them have kids of their own by now. But we’re all super hyped and excited to have this game to share again! After some initial whining on each other (of course) we settled on a faction and try to roll as different classes we can to make a good synergy so when we group up we won’t be competing about all the same gear drops. Right now we’re around 10-11 people who will be playing with each other so our collective goals will be
- help each other with quests
- form a guild as quickly as possible
- do dungeons
My personal goals without them will just be enjoying the game, going slowly and getting the whole experience in my own pace since playing with them I think will be fast paced, so whenever I’ll be solo I’ll try alts or doing some other things than grind cause I don’t want to out level them (I’m one of the guys with some more time on my hands than the majority). So I’ll probably become an altoholic :)
If I can list one item though I really wanna get my hands on is the Ice Barbed Spear from Alterac valley. Have really fond memories of that weapon from my original warrior main. So leveling a warrior alt will be my second priority!
My ultimate wet dream would be Thunderfury, but we’ll see how that goes haha

With my schedule IL have to pug raids alot, but IL see how things go.
R10 asap.
Clear all pve content.
Somewhere between level 1 and the end, become the druid that horde just hate to see in contested zones.
Off topic but..
Is this the same <GRIND> that plan on rolling against APES?
Formerly Fok/Voxic of <The Blood> | Azjol-Nerub EU

Maybe, why?
I mean, many of the people in this guild played the last 5years against apes(including me), can happen, we dont know ;)
Twitch Channel, feel free to take a look :)!

My plan is reaching Rank 10 and do as much world pvp as i can with my friends! :)

Be the Hunter, not the hunted

Initially, Level 2 characters to 20, then focus on which class/toon I like the most and get them as high as I can while ganking some players. Then...with the second toon, play them differently.
I'm also planning to get a lot of HK's.
I have always loved playing the Auction House, I made a lot of gold in WOTLK this way. Usually around 10-35K per week. I'm planning to play the Auction House in Classic too. So my first goal is to Make at least 25k gold.
- 25k Gold
- Level 60 on two characters

Let's try to break it down (maybe will help me also to contain my hype :D)
- Farm the Scarlet Crusade set
- Become the greatest armorsmith of my server
- Become a loremaster doing EVERY horde quest available as a Tauren
- Level to 60
- Complete D1 set and, if I'm able, D2 set
- Max out all secondary professions
- Max out all reputations available to me

Hydraxian Waterlords - RP - EU
- Fendor - Tauren Shaman
- Ildebrando - Dwarf Hunter
- Osandiron - Dwarf Priest
Goal is to ding 60 fast on my hunter with skin/herb. From there I'd like to work towards BIS and run the level 60 dungeons with friends. Hopefully they keep interest, as one of them is rolling warrior for our group and the other will likely druid or shaman. I've got ~10 days off after labor day, so I'm hoping to be level 20 by then and hopefully keeping a decent pace so that I can avoid STVietnam during the era of no DKs...I'm guessing it will be brutal once people start hitting 60.
I've got a personal goal of getting my RHCSA (linux certification) before classic drops, just since other games have sort of lost the allure for me knowing that WOW is on its way.

Before release:
- Keep intensively expand knowledge in web dev up to classic release
- Preparation for lvling and gold making path
- Roll rogue on PvP server and spec in combat daggers
- Rush and struggle with lvling and skin / herb professions up to 40 (partially smell roses on the way)
- Buy mount on 40 lvl
- Quest, do dungeons, master my class, concentrate less on professions
- Try to find cool guild and socialize
- Ding 60. PvP. Maximize professions, make more gold and help guildmates - establishing myself in raid rooster
- Spec in cold blood prep dagger, do even more PvP and sour classic through every of its phase like 12 year old Macallan chilled with Loch Modan rocks
Technical? Not really. Also, streamers won't bother me as I'll be playing on EU. Maybe things you can never predict...like end in a wholesome guild with which you can lvl, do lower lvl dungeons and then raid, something I'd want tbh.

My goal is to put all the effort into this one *giggles*

As a casual, with a baby coming in end of July I will hopefully be able to play some weekends. With that being said here are my goals!
Not necessarily in right order after first two!
-Make friends
-Have fun
-Hit level 60
-Raid Phase 1+2
(even if it requires me jumping into farming guilds near end of phases "being carried/boosted" since I can't put in the time to be a main raider)
-PvP when it's released
-Herbalism + Alchemy 300
-Rare + Epic mount
-Find at least one world drop epic
