Broltania’s Light’s Hope repack (local server) by the look of his post. Welcome btw Warcrazy!

@Jpy I grind on the way to quest objectives. And I Completed the Grim Totem Quest chain and escorted Kaya. You have a bunch of Quests to do in the Northwest Barrens anyway, might as well make the trip while you're close. Also, by the time you come back to Stonetalon you're 20+ so doing those early Quests at that point isn't worth it.

@Massivechonk I was more concerned with contention for the mobs on the first quest (in my experience there’s been a lack of Rufian’s when doing Avenge My Village on Northdale, which creates the situation where your waiting for the respawns) and the escort quests ALWAYS had a long wait, making the trip up there even less rewarding. I’m thinking I’ll skip that chain of quests around 14-16 in Stonetalon altogether for launch because like you said by the time you’d be heading back that way you’re already too high level to warrant doing them. You can farm the 16-17 Bristleback on the way to TB to make sure you hit 16 and this also gives you extra cloth to hit 80 first aid for that first trip to TB.
E: You’ll probably take a hit to efficiency overall by skipping the escorts early but I don’t think they’ll be manageable for Classic launch so I don’t see a reason to incorporate things like that in my route. After 20 I should be ahead enough of the pack to start checking for escorts. Probably still skip if it’s in an area you can’t farm while waiting.

@Jpy Those are some good points. However, that can be said for every other quest in game. As long as you know how much exp you need at a given point you can always just skip quests and make up for the loss by grinding.
I also have this feeling that we're most likely getting sharding at the start of Classic, so getting ahead of the curve shouldn't be as difficult as it has been during some of the private server launches.
Is there any consensus among the community as far as how dense of a starting zone is needed for grouping to be worth while, or alternatives? Wondering specifically grouping as a party of 3 (since you gain the highest % exp value at this point).

Thanks for keeping this up-to-date! I hit 12 in 2h59m and will see what 1-20 time I can get as a Warlock.

Oh I almost forgot, I wanted to mention Joanna did a 1-60 recently on repack and finished at ~3 days 22 hours played. He posted here with his times at various levels: https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/com ... um=ios_app
It’s a great reference to gauge your pacing.

Here's my Lightbringer speed run as a Tauren Druid - 2hr 6 minutes with about 2.5k in quest turn in XP ready. This also puts me directly in TB aiming for
a quick Bear Form

Impressive time! Good job!Timberfist wrote: ↑6 years agoNew PB on the LH Repack. One unneccessary death.

Never had one bag drop :(

Quick question:
What route would you suggest for a Dwarf/Gnome after Gol'Bolar Quarry? Jump over the cliff to Menethil Harbour and catch the boat to Darkshore?
Edit: Thinking about it, that would depend on class.
To add to that, the first 60 on Nethergarde hit it in 3 days, 10 hours and 40 something minutes as an aoe grinding mage. People are saying that the server isn't particulraly well scripted and he might have abused to get that time, so take it as you will.Jpy wrote: ↑6 years agoOh I almost forgot, I wanted to mention Joanna did a 1-60 recently on repack and finished at ~3 days 22 hours played. I'm not sure if Nethergarde has, but a lot of private servers has dynamic respawn which makes mobs spawn way faster. So if they respawn every 2 mins instead of 5 mins, this is a huge advantage to a mage aoe farmer, to always get big packsMassivechonk wrote: ↑6 years agoTo add to that, the first 60 on Nethergarde hit it in 3 days, 10 hours and 40 something minutes as an aoe grinding mage. I see this a lot but dynamic respawn is..dynamic. That means it only changes when a certain threshold of players are within a certain area. Anyone who’s tried AoE farming as a Mage knows well that it’s counter-productive to be around a lot of people and as you start to get ahead of the pack there’s less people around = less effect from dynamic respawn. My guess is he got ahead of the pack early (as we’ve seen, Mage is quite capable of leveling fast early) and had a good plan for early AoE leveling. Mage is definitely capabale of leveling ridiculously fast if they have uncontested AoE farm and if DM was available at that launch it’s even better. Ultimately, someone was slacking on Hunter to not take server first.Tactics wrote: ↑6 years agoI'm not sure if Nethergarde has, but a lot of private servers has dynamic respawn which makes mobs spawn way faster. Ahh yeah you are right about dynamic respawn. But i wouldn't even say the "slacking" part is true. I was rushing to 60 on northdale (got top 10 on horde side on release) the fastest to 60 on northdale on horde side was actually a mage called Kenny. I think mage is VERY underated if they get ahead, just like u said he most likely was. Wouldn't even suprise me if mage is the faster then Mage on repack version, because of their ability to aoe grind.Jpy wrote: ↑6 years agoI see this a lot but dynamic respawn is..dynamic. On another note, just did a run on repack version, honestly think i can get a few mins off more. Going to stream/record my next run though
Rogue - 1-10 - 1.47.50

Benchmarks were roughly:
- 22m: lvl 6 & starting zone done
- 26m: in bloodhoof
- 36m: lvl 7
- 50m: lvl 8
- 1hr 02m: lvl 9
- 1hr 15m: lvl 10
Done on the LH repack. Wouldve taken 5+ minutes longer if I had been doing skinning quests and went into TB, just wanted to see how fast 1-10 could go.
I did the run on my shitty uni notebook but i'll record a run when i'm home from finals.
My discord # is on my profile if anyone wants to talk about mulgore/barrens/shaman speedrun stuff
Hi everyone, I love this thread, but I am so curious as to how people are actually posting these times? Is leveling a druid in mulgore that much slower than a hunter/rogue/warrior in durotar? I keep trying, here are some of my times. Would love any tips and rotation help. I'm using Joana's guide so I get bear form at 12. Then I skip wildmane cleansing and get to the barrens in under 5 hours.
I was excited, but then I saw this thread and its times!

If someone would post a video of mulgore, I would love it. Do I need to push bear form at 10?

Hey, I used to run tauren druid a lot. It's not really slower and tbh you can be ahead of everyone by 10 on a fresh just by virtue of being in mulgore and having a good route. My best tauren druid run on a repack was something like arriving in crossroads @ lvl 12.5 ish in ~2hr30m. DM me on discord (tag is on my profile) and I can show you the route I used.adruid wrote: ↑6 years agoHi everyone, I love this thread, but I am so curious as to how people are actually posting these times? And yeah you should be pushing bear at 10 asap.

Leaderboards updated.
Nice runs everyone and grats @Colroyds in particular, that's the fastest level 10 time of heard of anywhere.

Thanks for the tips and encouragement! I will reach out on discord, and look forward to trying your route and posting my new times!

My 1-20 run came in at 8h57m31s. I was short of those hunter 1-20s, but felt pretty good other than some mistakes on my part. I died a couple of times and way overshot level 20; if I'd gone back to XR sooner I could have shaved off a substantial amount of time. But again, I am not optimizing for 20, but rather how fast I can get to 20 on my 1-60 route.
