A friend finally convinced me to want to try Classic so here I am.
I can't wait. I'm going to recreate my 1st character ever: My Undead Warlock as a Tailor/Enc.
Anyone else here hoping to achieve success in Classic and also have a job/family now? I need your wisdom lol
My fear is that I won't hit 60 until way after my guild due to me not being a 18 year old basement dweller. I have a full time job and a family including a toddler. Thankfully after 8pm on a lot of nights I can game freely until I pass out anywhere between 12 and 2AM. Weekends I can devote even more time in the later parts of the night.
So right now I'm going to be spending most of my time until Classic's release planning my leveling route. I want to make sure that as little of my time in game is wasted just figuring out WHAT to do instead of DOING it.
Hello All, I'm looking forward to playing classic again and hoping it is successful enough that blizzard does a burning crusade server as well.
I'm a graveyard shift worker so you'll probably see me on at odd hours.

It looks like you all have a really nice, informative community here. I'm very much excited for the release of Classic. I was fortunate enough of have been a part of the game back then and I am so looking forward to return to Azeroth, as it was originally intended.

first post here so i think introducing is the best way to start in this forum.
First i have to say that i love the design of the Forum. Reminds me of the old WoW forums and the thousands of post i made there.
So who am i?
I am a 30 years young IT Admin from Hannover Germany who loves Warcraft since i got Warcraft 2 for PSone from my Dad. I have must be around 8-9 years around that time and love playing it. I finished the campaign, something my dad could not do (he is also a gamer since forever) and so my love for the Franchise was born. I loved the Dark/Evil/Bad side always more then the good guys so i was all orc.
Then Warcraft 3 came when i was 13 i think and it was the first game that i got on release date and was totally stunned by all the Goddies Blizzard put in every Gaming store (Gamestop and others were not around that time here in Germany so it was normal Markets like Mediamarkt and Saturn who sells Electronics) like the Thrall Statue, the big Cardbox thing with the game copys in it and the big box (i think it was the last PC game that came with those big boxes).
So i played the shit out of Warcraft 3. Was also the first game that really got me into esports with people like Grubby and Moon.
Back then my Family had no Internet and i read Gaming Magazines (something i really miss today) and saw the first Screenshots from WoW and i could not believe it. Thinking that there will be a game were people are the units and fighting those big wars was just stunning.
Then we finally got Internet in 2004 i think and the release of WoW was around Feb 2005 in EU. Bad timing because i was on a school trip when it got released and when i came back all copys were sold out. Had to wait a month or so to finally got my copy.
I was in a Star war Battlefront Clan back then (Played in the ESL with them, just a quick side note ) and when i created my Orc Warrior they ganked me first few days because they all played Alliance.
So i had to roll a Aliiance char and so i decided to play Pala because of Arthas and the free mount. Played only Ret because healing is for weak Palas.
Played most of the time PvP after hitting lvl 60 (what took me around 20 Days /Played) and loved AV so much because it was Warcraft for me.
After played the 6878590305 AV i rolled a Hunter because i was sick of getting destroyed in the frontline and wanted to play easy from the second row.
Played some other Chars like the Mage in my Signature but stopped around lvl 40 because leveling took ages in Vanilla (The char is untouched since back then)
Played all the way till mid WotLK or so mainly with my Paladin but stopped because of Real life.
Came back on a private Server called M*lten (hope it is okay to post names here) when it was on WotLK and then progressed to Cata on it(was buggy as hell). I played with my GF on the Private server and we then Switched to MOP Retail (Horde, because my GF loved the horde) when it was got released and played there since 3 Months into BFA when we both lost the interest (i lost it back in Legion but the Gold making and AH keept me playing)
So i really looking forward to play the best version again when Classic comes around and all me friends that i know are hyped for it.

I was casually browsing through the Classic WoW subreddit and ended up here!
Glad I've found this forum. There's a strong need(for me at least) to rebuild the WoW community as it used to be back in the days.
My first char was a male NE Rogue in Vanilla, which I played up to level 60 and did some semi-serious riding up to AQ20/(some)AQ40 and PVP up to Rank 10 or 11.
Then, just before TBC, re-rolled male UD Rogue and been in Horde ever since.
For Classic I am really looking forward to going back to my Alliance roots, but still, haven't made a final call on which race/gender I will pick.

Hello everyone! Who I am: In vanilla I played a human warlock on a pvp server with one group of rl friends, then switched to an undead warlock on a pve server to play with a different group of rl friends. If you were on the PTR just prior to BC you may have seen my guild <Warlock>, which had hundreds of warlocks testing out the new game mechanics, looking for bugs and theorycrafting. I plan on remaking my first main as a human warlock. Oh, did I mention that I like warlocks? Nice to meet you all. Feel free to ask me questions on my favorite subject.

Found this forum through Reddit. This forum is seemingly like r/classicwow except better and more intimate, which I appreciate. I played a Dwarf Hunter back in vanilla after getting the game for my 12th birthday back in 2005. I've played at least to some extent in every expansion, even if my "hardcore" period was in TBC. For Classic I'm looking forward to playing a mage, because I like the class fantasy of it as well as general utility of the class (portals, water, CC etc). I am from Sweden and am looking to play with a group of friends when Classic launches.

As many others have said I also found this forum through reddit. I'm really liking what I've seen so far and it seems like the people here are a very friendly bunch. I played in vanilla but I was very young and only got to level 54 by the time TBC launched since I really had no idea what I was doing. For Classic I'm hoping to play the same thing again (tauren druid) and hopefully being able to do some raiding in a casual guild. I don't really have any friends that are going to play Classic with me so I'm hoping maybe I will find some people with similar goals here to play with. I have played vanilla private servers. I raided as a shaman on Elysium and as a priest on Light's Hope. I love to heal and will always play a healer.
PS. The site looks amazing, major props to the designer! Thank you for making this wonderful place for the community.
