The movie had its share of problems for sure, but I think that's just the nature of trying to adapt such a lore heavy story into a movie format.

I enjoyed it for what it was but I've already seen it twice and I don't think I need to see it anymore times.

I don't remember there being a "World of Warcraft" movie, but there was definitely a Warcraft movie that wasn't too bad and I do plan on watching it tomorrow.

Oh there definitely was, part 2 & 3 of tales of the past was the peak of machinima videos back in the day. I've watched them twice in the last couple of days.

I agree with a few others here, the story was just so different. I liked the CGI and seeing Azeroth on the big screen, but I could not get over the story the entire time I watched it. I've rewatched it, and still couldn't stop looking at the differences. It feels like a knock-off to me, and I was so excited about the movie ever since they announced it so many years ago :(

Maybe, but you better believe I'm going to watch the South Park Make Love not Warcraft episode.
It's playing on loop nonstop until launch over at Twitch right now

How old were you when you learned that the song "Live to Win", featured in this episode, was NOT made by the South Park guys as a parody, but was a real song made by former KISS member Paul Stanley?

I was five minutes ago years old.

I don’t think anyone is claiming the Warcraft movie was Oscar material. It’s the best representation on the big screen of the universe we love. I enjoy the parts I love about it, don’t get worked up over what’s lacking.

I took the time to watch it last night. It is fine, but you can definitely tell they tried to tell too much story too short a time. If you don't know the dynamics of all the horde clans and all the chieftains, it's impossible to know/care/follow all their disputes/differences/power struggles.

It's ok, I don't hate it. 6/10

I always was kind of curious how people who actually know the story felt about it. For me, I loved it. It was just enough story and a lot of neat fight scenes. I have no idea about any of the lore but the Orcs looked pretty cool and it kept my attention.

I've read probably 10+ of the books, including Rise of the Horde and The Last Guardian - which the movie was 'based' on.

It took the core stories from those books and kind of mashed them together to make them fit in 2 hours and make it action/exciting/movie style.

People sometimes forget to have fun and not take things to heart. It is a neat movie, with great CGI and is a nice link to our gaming entertainment and lore. The books are fantastic though, I just read through Tides of Darkness again, and I am part way through reading Beyond the Dark Portal. I am definitely not a lore expert, but the books are just great fun - and add more feeling of depth to the game, especially Vanilla WoW, as so many books are before the events of WoW. Great casual/easy read - do it!

Edit: words. And it seems I have read more than I remembered. They are fun.
