Interesting dynamic so far. A little over half don't directly initiate a conflict at first, a third will directly engage and compete, and 15% are polite and won't even start competing.
I wonder what this would look like if you could attack anyone at any time? I'd bet most of the time it would just be a bloodbath at each node.

Every node is my node. Geez, how I'm supposed to farm all the fucking https://classic.wowhead.com/item=10620/thorium-ore needed to learn and craft that juicy https://classic.wowhead.com/item-set=321/imperial-plate? I need exatcly 488 bars, and that's a lot of nodes :D

If you see a person that is obviously fighting towards a node, leave it alone and find another, they are everywhere and what purpose does it serve to be rude? Absolutely none. Retail is rude enough. Being rude in Classic may just earn you a notable bad reputation on your server amongst other players, which can quickly spread to guilds and that you do not want. So people might want to reconsider before engaging in rude behavior. There seems to be a lot of people coming back for classic that haven't played in a long time like me, and the game was not filled with rudeness back in the day, like retail is today. Just a tip you might want to pay heed to.
