I see I'm not the only person who's found this place today, but might as well have a crack at an introduction nonetheless.
I started playing in February 2006 and have played every expansion, although I've currently been unsubbed for almost half a year, so it's not much experience I have with BfA. Despite having played all those years, Vanilla was always the peak for me though, its heavy focus on RPG and social elements, as well as its huge interconnected world rather than singular continent, always made it special to me. I'm looking forward to Classic so I can get a second chance at doing things that I never accomplished back then, namely high end PvE content, which at the time was beyond my reach.
I'm planning on maining a Troll Mage this time (originally played a Tauren Warrior), I always loved how Mages felt like they had all the tools to survive in Vanilla's world, so I'm excited to give it a serious go this time.

Thank you for the kind words sir!

I remember those! I think I even made a few myself, they're quick and easy to make if I recall, no more than 6 filters right?
Check out some of my old works I made over 10 years ago, jeez, has it been that long? Haha

Always good to talk shop with someone about this sort of thing, especially as I haven't opened photoshop for more than a quick edit in a looong, long time! It will be like 2005 all over again! :D

Hey guys,
I'm here to get pumped about the release of Classic since I never got the chance to play it when it was vanilla. I began once Wrath came out way back then and I played regularly until the middle of Legion when I decided to take a break.
I'm still deciding between Paladin and Druid for my class choice for Classic, but leaning towards Druid (still have no idea what faction, but I love Taurens).
So basically I have nothing figured out in terms of what I'll be playing other than that I for sure will be playing and seeing you guys out there!

I think we are talking about 2 different things but it doesn't matterNymis wrote: ↑6 years ago@Faendor Bit of a late reply lol but it's like I said, if WoW is a big part of our lives but we can't play together then we probably won't be friends. I don't think I would've been best friends with my best friends if it weren't for games, because we're very different types with different interests and backgrounds. So if there's no way I can match my 40 hours a week with someone else's 40 hours a week, then it will work against us and it is unlikely we will meet on any other activities.
On the contrary, I think there's very little emotion to it. I'd rather have someone who doesn't play at all than someone who plays something I could never join in and play myself. Having emotions would be the only kind of thing to make a man dump his guild, faction and server just to play with a girl.![]()

Hey all,
The name is Thunder. Glad to have found a place like this. It's really entertaining and nostalgic reading this up on this stuff again. Haven't read up on vanilla for a while and found this through a Reddit post. I'm most likely maining a shaman come classic.
Still lookong for an EU horde guild on a PvP server. Going to pay hardcore. Interested in a likewise hardcore guild.

Very excited to go through this journey again, and can't wait to see you all in-game. No matter the faction, I'm grateful for you all!

Name’s Drenen. Planning on playing Alliance Rogue. Could be convinced to go Horde. Looking for some folks to play with primarily.
Played most during TBC.

Hey! Right back at ya, buddy!

I have played as an Alliance Rogue since late WotLK, and have played on the same character for around 9 years. However, I felt that Blizzard are losing its grip on current WoW, hence why I want to go Classic!
I'm thinking of playing Alliance Rogue this time around as well, and would appreciate the company!
Hello!
I found this forum via reddit, and decided to make an account.
I'm a day 1 paladin that still plays retail that is very much looking forward to classic. I haven't healed since the end of Wrath, so I'm looking forward to being holy again. :)

The Classic WoW subreddit sent me here. :-)
I started playing WoW roughly a few weeks after the US launch. I rolled a Tauren Warrior and was the GM of a casual raiding guild. We cleared BWL up to Chromaggus but disbanded before we downed Nefarian. Rerolled Undead Mage and focused mostly on PvP with some ZG and AQ 20 on the side. When TBC launched I rolled a BE Pally and was entirely focused on PvP. I achieved Gladiator rank in Arena Season 1 in the 2v2 and 3v3 brackets. Shortly thereafter I graduated college and focused on work and dating, so WoW took a back seat. I was on and off until the end of WotLK when I quit and never returned. As a result of WoW I made friendships both national and international that last to this day.
I was excited but conflicted after hearing about the Classic announcement, knowing that although I had an absolute blast during the Vanilla days I no longer had the same amount of free time. I played briefly during the Kronos III launch to refresh my memory and see if this is something I wanted to get into. It took me around 20 levels or so to get hooked again. I'm in.

Hey there !
Been lurking for several weeks before realizing I didn't created an account.
Started to play in late Vanilla for a year when I was 9. Reached level 54 by playing (really) casually, made some dungeons but never been able to enjoy the true end content and raids atmosphere as it was back then.
Now I'm 22, taking a chair, and waiting with you all for Classic to release ! :D

Hi everyone, Wubbie here!
My love for Warcraft started at the very first game: Warcraft Orc & Humans. One of the very first multiplayer games i played with my brothers. After that i continued my journey with Warcraft 2, 3 and the expansions. So i was very eager to try World of Warcraft when it was announced. Living in the EU, i had to wait for it to be released in the EU. But i could pass the time with an open beta invite from Gamespy. So i played a while on a US server and leveled a Paladin to around level 50. I made my first character, a Nightelf Priest named Mana on the Burning Legion-EU server when World of Warcraft released on the 11th of February 2005. I've raided with my Priest and cleared MC through Naxx. After that i played other characters on different servers and eventually switch to the horde side near the end of the vanilla era. And i played through all expansions with the horde.
One of my best memories playing vanilla has to be playing a Dwarf Hunter named: Wubbie. I've leveled him solo to level 60 on a server with no real life friends during a time that most of my real life friends i played with stopped playing World of Warcraft. I started PvPing heavily with my hunter and got to rank 10 out of the 14 ranks with no pvp partners or groups.
So i'm very excited to go on the journey again in World of Warcraft classic!
My goals are:
- Leveling a Dwarf Hunter to level 60.
- Casually PvPing and doing a dungeon once in a while.
- Making many alts, because i love all classes.
- Enjoying my time and taking it easy, i don't have all the spare time i had at the ago of 16 when i started with World of Warcraft. Wife and two kids and a full time job forces me to play for max 1 hour in the evening.
Bye!

Apparently this is a place where people chat about Classic WoW? Weeeell sign me up! P.S. y'all got a Discord?
Heard about this place for a while. Woke up at 3 AM and browsing the web on my phone and decided "Hey, maybe having an account at BC wouldn't be a bad idea."

Yo soupa glad you finally decided to register an account! Welcome

We don't have a Discord no, this is it!

Hi I'm HotdogWater and I'm a recovering alt-oholic. I started playing retail in Cata, although I've been involved in the pserver community on and off for several years. I've capped each class at various points throughout my time on retail but I'm looking forward to maining an orc Warrior and devoting my time to making him great so I can truly experience vanilla.
Will be looking for friends and guildies to play with so HMU when classic comes out and we can play. No weirdos :p

Hey all. I think I found this place through reddit? Been playing WoW on and off since early TBC. Looking forward to playing Classic fairly casually, probably as a Human Paladin. My real goal with Classic though is to do what I can to have it be successful in the hopes that Blizz makes TBC servers eventually.

I'm Cletus! I've been playing since release in 2004. I told my brother there was no way I was going to pay $15 per month to play a video game. I've been online for the release of every single expansion since. I have taken a few 1 and 2 month breaks here and there and learned how to play guitar during an extended break during WoD because it was terrible. I have recently stopped playing BFA because it sucks in different ways. I cannot wait till classic drops.

I'm his brother and I can confirm. The Bad Bad Dolamite!Cletus wrote: ↑6 years agoI'm Cletus! I've been playing since release in 2004.
