Welcome to our beginner’s guide for casually playing a Fury Warrior in World of Warcraft. This guide is intended for players who prefer a less complex play style.

Bloodthirst always Enrages you the first time you strike a target, and it has a 15% increased chance to trigger Enrage.

Increases the maximum number of charges on Charge by 1, and reduces its cooldown by 3 sec.

  • Level 35: warpaint Warpaint
You take 10% reduced damage while Enrage is active.
(If you feel you don’t need the damage reduction, you can instead take bounding stride Bounding Stride for greater mobility.)

Rampage has a 20% chance to immediately refund 20 Rage.
  • Level 45: bladestorm Bladestorm

You are immune to movement impairing and loss of control effects, but can use defensive abilities and avoid attacks.
  • Level 50: anger management Anger Management
Every 20 Rage you spend reduces the remaining cooldown on Recklessness by 1 sec.

Gems & Enchants

Gems

For casual players the best option is Haste gems

Enchants

Covenant

We recommend Venthyr as the best covenant for casual players. It offer great single target damage, and condemn Condemn combined with the massacre Massacre talent selection while the Whirlwind talent is active provides good AoE performance as well.

  • condemn Condemn – Replaces massacre Execute. With massacre Massacre it can be used on targets above 80% health and below 35% health, also weakens the target to prevent damage you would otherwise get.
  • door of shadows Door of Shadows – Walk through the shadows (teleport) to the targeted location.

Conduits

Here you can find a list of Potency Conduits in order of priority that are beneficial for both single target and AoE dps. Feel free to use whichever Endurance and Finesse conduits best suit your play style.

ashen juggernaut Ashen Juggernaut – Condemn increases the critical strike chance of Condemn by 2.5% for 8 sec, stacking up to 8 times.

  • Drops from the second boss of the Plaguefall dungeon, Dr Ickus.

depths of insanity Depths of Insanity – Recklessness lasts 20.0% longer.

  • Drops from the second boss in the The Necrotic Wake dungeon, Amarth The Harvester.

vicious contempt Vicious Contempt – Bloodthirst deals 24.0% increased damage to enemies who are below 35% health.

  • Drops from the first boss in the Sanguine Depths dungeon, Kryxis the Voracious.

harrowing punishment Harrowing Punishment – Condemn’s damage dealt and prevented are increased by 1.5% for each nearby enemy, up to 8%.

  • Drops from multiple World Bosses:
    • Valinor
    • Mortanis
    • Nurgash Muckformed
    • Oranomonos the Everbranching

Legendary

The best overall legendary for casual Fury Warriors is deathmaker Deathmaker, which is still very competitive but much more forgiving than alternative options.
Rampage has a 30% chance to apply the Siegebreaker effect to your target for 6 sec.

deathmaker Memory of the Deathmaker is dropped by Amarth, the second boss in The Necrotic Wake dungeon although the drop rate seems to be rather low.

This legendary can be crafted for the leg slot or back slot, but the leg slot is preferred.

will of the berserker Will of the Berserker works as an alternative legendary that is much easier to acquire though not nearly as strong in performance due to a short duration, long cooldown, and requiring raging blow Raging Blow to refresh the duration.
When Recklessness expires, your Critical Strike is increased by 7% for 8 sec. Your Raging Blow will refresh the duration of this effect.

will of the berserker Memory of the Berserker’s Will is dropped by Sludgefist, the second boss in the Blood from Stone wing of Castle Nathria and seems to have a better drop rate.

This legendary can be crafted for the chest slot or back slot, but the chest slot is preferred.
