Raid Lockout Schedule Among Other Changes in Wrath of the Lich King Classic

world of warcraft wrath of the lich king classic raid lockout schedule changes

Many folks will find their expectations met with the announcement of the addition of Wrath of the Lich King to the Classic release, scheduled for some time in 2022. In coordination with the official expansion announcements Today, April 19th 2022, Blizzard commented on some clear decisions for #somechanges that will be made in the re-release of Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

One important change that we are being made aware of is a change to the raid lockout schedule. While the nature of that change is not completely clear, it seems that Blizzard is considering changing raid lockouts so that players do not feel pressed to complete each of the 4 versions of a raid (10 or 25 person, and normal or Heroic) to optimize their characters.

We will have to await more information on what exactly these changes are going to look like, but know that you may not be running four Malygos, Naxxaramas, and Sartharion raids each week on each character!

This change is not clearly stated in a blue post, but it is mentioned in the IGN interview with Brian Birmingham, WoW Classic lead.

But Heroic is only for ICC. And if you want the best stuff you just run 25. I don’t get whats the Problem here.
