In a post on the official forums, Aggrend announced that the TBC Classic PTR for patch 2.5.4, including the Zul’Aman raid and phase 4 content, will be temporarily going down. He estimates that it should become available to players sometime before 12 pm PST tomorrow, Friday, March 11.

It is unclear why the PTR went down at this time. However, last time Blizzard took the PTR down in the middle of testing new raids, they made significant changes to their back-end systems, while also fixing major bugs affecting those raids. It remains to be seen whether similarly large changes will be made when the PTR comes back up, or if it is going down for maintenance.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Have you tested out the Zul’Aman raid in the PTR already? Or do you plan to after the PTR comes back up? Let us know in the comments below!

Greetings,

We’ll be doing an update to the Burning Crusade Classic PTR this evening and we’ll need to bring it down until tomorrow morning. We expect it to go offline shortly and return sometime before 12pm PST tomorrow, March 11th. Thanks for your understanding.
