PvE Fury Warrior Rotation, Cooldowns, & Abilities

tbc wow pve fury warrior rotation, cooldowns and abilities

In this section we will be covering our traditional rotation for both Single-Target and AoE encounters to help maximize your damage output!

Single-Target Rotation

Our first priority is ensuring we maintain our assigned Shout (Battle Shout or Commanding Shout) throughout the entire duration of the encounter. Another ability you may be assigned to maintain is Demoralizing Shout.

Our second priority is ensuring we maintain Rampage (It’s recommended that you refresh it within the last few seconds before it expires)

Fury Warriors don’t have a traditional rotation, where we use abilities A, B, C, D and repeat the rotation. We generally have a priority list:

  • You’ll want to use Bloodthirst on cooldown
  • You’ll want to use Whirlwind if you have extra Rage
  • Heroic Strike should be used if you have an excess of 60 Rage
  • As a note, Hamstring can be used for a small amount of damage to the enemy if you find yourself Rage-capped and the other abilities are on cooldown
  • When the enemy drops to 20% or less health, start using Execute for high damage
    • It’s common for Warriors to use Bloodthirst between the global cooldowns if they have an excess of 30 Rage

AoE Encounters

Our first priority is ensuring we maintain our assigned Shout (Battle Shout or Commanding Shout) throughout the entire duration of the encounter. Another ability you may be assigned to maintain is Demoralizing Shout.

Unlike our single-target rotation, Fury Warriors have a rotation they can follow when faced with AoE encounters:

  1. Sweeping Strikes (Helps us by enabling us to hit an additional enemy and should be kept on cooldown)
  2. Whirlwind
  3. Bloodthirst
  4. Cleave
  5. Execute if targets fall below 20% health
